Biff's Enchanted Birthday Trip...Twas' the week before Christmas

Star Tours is one of my favorite rides. I don't like that it's closed in, but like Tower of Terror and the Haunted Mansion stretch room, I can talk myself through it in order to get to the fun part.

I've heard only good things about the PBJ shake, but I have never had one. I'll have to do that next time we're there. I may try making one at home, also, and then comparing the two.

The last time I saw the New York streets was the first night of Osborne lights, so there were about 52.5 more people per square foot in my pictures than in yours.

I might have to try this PBJ shake. Sounds disgusting though. LOL I LOVE peanut butter cookies, shakes, whatever but not sure about the jelly part. I had the worst service ever at 50's in September. Well, I shouldn't say "worst" service...just NO SERVICE. She wasn't good or bad ~ she wasn't there at all! :rotfl2: I love Sci FI though...for lunch only. Not dinner. Great pics!

We wen't to 50's PT this time too! We liked it a lot. I don't think I'm brave enough for the PB&J shake though. I'm not too crazy about Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches anyway so I doubt I'd like it. :confused3

hey, scott! going off topic here but i have a question for you. me, my sister and anna (the one you met at kona) are planning a trip to NYC in may. i found a great deal on a hotel called the paramount. do you know anything about it? the address is 235 west 46th street very near times square (or possibly even in the middle of it -not sure). you may not have a clue about it because i know NYC is a rather large city. ;) but just thought i'd ask.

Great update! We may have to check out the PB&J Shake. Yummy!

I don't think I'd wait 40 minutes for the tram either. I've been on it enough that I'd just come back later if that were an option to see if it were any shorter. I've never ate at sci-fi, but sounds like you did the right thing canceling it since Biff didn't like it. Can't wait to hear more! :thumbsup2
nope.
yeah he thought it looked like a diner and he hates diners. then we go to PTC. :rotfl2:

I've been hesitant about 50's Prime Time because of the dramatic interaction- I like to be left alone with my family and don't relish the idea of putting on a show during my meal... but I keep reading that the servers are good at reading which customers are into it and which are not. I may have to put this one on t he list for next time!
she knew just how much to do and when to back off.
In January when i was there with the kids the cousin was fantastic. we had so much interaction it was great. do lunch, didn't seem as crazy.

:rotfl2: that's great.
i thought so too

We've eaten at 50's before and I wondered about that PB & J shake. I just wasn't sure, but you've inspired me to try one now. :)
I wasn't either but figured I would try it. so glad I did

thanks for the picture of the fire escape decorations, i liked them, never seen them down there though, will hvae to look for them next time.
oh another excuse to go???

now i want to try a PBJ shake. sounds yummy.
it was

Whew! All caught up again. Great updates! Love your Christmas card! haha:rotfl2:
thanks.
:lmao:

Loving all the pics...never been to 50's, but i'm glad you guys had a good time there and that the food was yummy! :thumbsup2
thank you.
u should try it some time.

mine too only because I am a total Star Wars geek.
let me know how yours comes out.
I thought it was busy when we were there but easy to get around.

you should. it does but the taste is oh so good.
I didn't really care for Sci-fi when I ate there. Might try it again in June

well no if you don't like the sandwich I do not think you would like it. Mostly a peanut butter taste though.

no I have not. I checked trip advisor and the reviews are not good. pm me your info like how much you want to spend and I will search for you if you want.
there are a lot of nice hotels up here by me on the upper west side but they r pricey. kind of. the comfort inn on central park west is $269.00 a night. for 3 adults. not too bad divided.
it is a block from the Dakota and strawberry fields.
like I said if you want some help pm or email me

Great update! We may have to check out the PB&J Shake. Yummy!
thank you

A PB&J shake. Who knew? You stumped me.
:yay: i gotcha
:rotfl2:

It was that time

The queue for the fp is so short. I was so upset I did not get to see the normal queue but the standby time was ridiculous.

We ride. I love. This is such a fun ride. Here are the scores

SDC10303.jpg

I am on left. Biff was beating me in accuracy but right at the end I came through. :woohoo:

Now I said I would come back Wednesday morning and ride it quickly, I never got back.

Now we started to walk again.

I thought this was so cute for a sign for stroller parking.

This is the line to see Prince Caspian. Maybe Disney should not have dropped the 3rd movie.

Biff went potty here.

I will stop here...

Up next...

Under the Sea........

Great photos! I love that ride too! We wanted to ride it more than once also but never found the time to get back.

I agree, Disney should not have dropped Narnia #3!

you would have really liked the normal line for TOy story, it went by really fast, and there was so much to see, we loved it.

I loved the last 3 updates, especially the pictures from 50's! We were thinking about going on our next trip but I wasn't sure if we'd like it. I'd love all the fun of the waiters and waitresses, but I know my brother would HATE all the antics  How were they with you? It looks like too fun of an experience to pass up... I may have to add the ADR back into our plans ;) And I've always wondered about the PB&J milkshake! What did it actually taste like??

I can't believe that line for Prince Caspian! You're right, maybe Disney shouldn't have dropped the last movie...

wow, when i met my husband, Prince Caspin, it was me and me only wanting to meet him! so we talked and he purposed :lmao: TSM defiantly rocked my socks!

Biff went potty here.

.....

Really? a line.......

thanks for letting us know that biff went potty..which restroom did he use?

I'm caught up. I have never seen the show about Walt and will definitely have to check it out this year. I only went to the Sci-Fi once years ago and was not overly impressed with it then and it sounds like it hasn't improved with age. I have thought about trying the 50's Prime time but my DH always says no to it. We did H & V on our last trip and he wants to go there again. Can't wait for more to see what I have to look forward to at the end of the year.

Great pictures of TSM! DD was really interested in them and asking lots of questions!

TSM is sooo much fun. I was a bunny too!

It doesn't appear the lines have slowed any judging by your FP time.

Would you recommend 50s PTC? We haven't been there yet.

I could not imagine standing in line for more than 20 minutes. fp all the way. eventually I will see the queue.

she was fine with us. I think it is less at lunch, i saw some teasing but not as much as when I ate there for dinner.
all I really tasted was peanut butter. MMMMMM

he used the one that is directly next to that line.

you should, great memorabilia and movie.
you should try it.
This was the evening we saw the Osborne Lights so they r coming up soon.

did you answer her questions?

it is
nope. those lines were insane.
I would. I have both lunch and dinner there and enjoyed it both times.

Thsi is for Chefs de France

I enjoyed this restaurant
Roomy location so you can enjoy your party only issue I had was moron at table next to us who wanted to share his conversation with the whole place so we got to hear his stupidity
Tasted his red wine & referred to it a nice with a crisp taste wonder how he would describe white wine maybe full bodied.
Service was excellent
Food very good, perfectly cooked & presentation excellent
Escargot that was worth the visit to Chefs De France, even got Scott to have one & amazinly he liked it
I would have preferred to have the skewer removed in the kitchen hate having to fight to get food off 8 inch wooden toothpick (see lazy man here hates fighting with his food)
The Crepe was a disappointment but that was me not the restaurant I just don't care for apple. Crepe was to be filled with apple & peach only tasted apple.

You sure that's the line to meet him? They have two lines there. The first time I got an UGLY Caspian. This past time we got the sweet innocent 15 year old looking Caspian but he was so nice...I just want to see one of the hotties! Geez. We only had to wait for one group of girls to come back out the day we saw him. The line for the silly walk through show had a few people in it though.

One of these days I want to see the walk through line at TSM. Especially the Mr Potato head part. Maybe when things slow way way down. I'm not waiting 20 minutes or more just to see it though. You so kicked Biff's butt! You go Scott! :cheer2:
