Biff's Enchanted Birthday Trip...Twas' the week before Christmas

Enjoyed your updates and pictures. Coral reef is pretty good isn't it? Sorry you didn't get to see your diver :sad2: but glad you got the menu's even though they were the ones for your September trip.

why be leary? it was one of the better meals of the trip.

I have just heard a lot of mixed reviews about it and, for the price, I'm not sure I'm ready to take a chance on it just yet. We'll see how dessert goes. It definitely seems like it has an amazing atmosphere.

I know what you mean about HISTA. I think it's time for a change there.

Oh the personalized menu at the Coral Reef is so cool! How did they do that for you? Do you send them the pictures and then tell them what you want it to say?

Hey Scott! I'm not sure what took me so long to find your report but I am here and all caught up! I'm enjoying your report and Biff's reviews! Looking forward to more!

I love the Coral Reef! The food is great, the atmosphere is great & I love the Chocolate Wave dessert!!!:goodvibes The menu was really sweet, but too bad the diver didn't work out. Did you have to cancel the diver when you left the restaurant? When we were there in December, 2 divers swam over to a table & delivered a marriage proposal. It was cute. Our server said there might be a charge in the new year for a diver message. Actually, I thought there was a charge now.:confused3 I noticed the lines in the screen at Soarin. It's not like Disney not to fix something like that! Yes, you are right about the first row!:thumbsup2

Hello Scott and Biff,

Thank you for writing another great trip report.:goodvibes You always post wonderful and alluring photos.:thumbsup2 I always have to share your reports with my family. They are short but very descriptive and to the point.

Thank you for sharing your dining reviews too. We picked some of our upcoming ADRs due to your reviews on your January trip. I like Biff's honest reviews too.:flower3:

If you don't mind answering a question, with all of your trips to WDW thus far, which was your favorite time to visit?

I look forward to reading more about your latest Disney vacation.popcorn::

Sure wish we had crossed paths since we were down there the same time as you! Our park days were just never the same as yours :(

I got the personalized menu and diver for my daughter, fiance and grandson (age 1) for our lunch at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday 12/18 and she was completely surprised! They put the menu in front of my GS and I had to pick it up and hand it to my daughter to see if she wanted something to order off his menu. She didn't catch on at first, just looked on the right side where the food was listed and not the left side where his pics were. Her fiance said, Hey isn't that Mason?!! and she finally caught on :lmao: Then the diver came up to the window when we were about 3/4's of the way into our meal and held up the sign. She saw him coming and asked why there were divers? I said sometimes they come to clean the glass and maybe she would like to take a pic. It was while she was taking the picture that she caught on to the sign. She was overwhelmed - they both were teary eyed before the meal ended. It was wonderful! I'm sorry your diver didn't show :( Your menu was fantastic! What a great job of putting the pictures together :)

I explained to my DD that they weren't doing this in 2009 and she was so grateful. We weren't on the DDP so the meal was pretty expensive but so worth it. The food was delicious (which I was surprised at compared to all the reviews on here) and it was the highlight of our trip!

I'm glad you tried Figment, HISTA, and Circle of Life so that you can say you've done them yourself, not just heard or read about them. Then you can make your own judgements on them. Brooklynn loves Figment these days.

Sorry you didn't get Row 1 on Soarin'. I love Soarin' so much that I'll take any row any time, but it really is better on the first row, no doubt.

And as for whether or not you find Nemo...
if you got on the ride and didn't jump out of the clamshell before it ended,
I'm going to guess yes, you did find Nemo,
and Mr. Ray and the starfish and Dory and Marlin and all the other sea creatures happily sang about it! :)

Anyway, stay warm up there on this New Year's Day! It's a bit cold here, so I imagine it's worse there.

wow wow wow, i have learned to not try and keep up with scott and his updates, you are too fast for me...but great reads, i think i am still on chapter 4, i will try and crank one out here shortly, but i did just update on enchated, it was easy, and update i already did here.
:goodvibes

all the pictures looked great scott, i also took videos on test track this time, first i ever did that, and i am glad i did they are fun to look at.

but that was the last day, so it will be a while till i get there.
I like to get the report done in a timely manner.
Thank you.
It was my first time taking video. I really enjoyed doing them. I make Biff do some later in the trip. :rolleyes1 he had no choice. :rotfl2: actually he did.

Hi Scott. I have been busy busy busy since we got back. I haven't really had a chance to check out everyones TR's yet. I'm sorry to hear Biff got sick. Too bad we didn't get to see you guys.
hi,
he was sorry too. :lmao:
it is too bad, I was hoping to run into you.

it was delicious. I was very happy with the menus. The diver sign was going to say Happy Birthday but it is ok. I was happy with the menus.

so did I but figured what the heck. we went for it and I am glad I did. the atmosphere is great.
I think they need to do something with that. seemed a little outdated.

Oh the personalized menu at the Coral Reef is so cool! How did they do that for you? Do you send them the pictures and then tell them what you want it to say?
thanks.
I called the restaurant and they gave the email address to send to and tell them what you want them. I know they stopped the diver but not sure if they stopped the menus.

me too.
I was going to try that but went with the bailey's and JD Mousse, it did not disappoint.
no, the waitress knew we wouldn't make it to the diver. she said it happens a lot with the earlier reservations.
nope, it was free. I heard they are doing away with totally.
:thumbsup2

thank you for reading.
I like short and to the point.
I would say January. The weather was perfect (really cold one night) and the crowds were great.
July was ok but HOT and the Brazilian tour groups were everywhere, including the trip down on the plane.
October was great, a little warm but crowd wise was nice
December was nice to see the decorations but it was so much busier than I expected and doubt I will go again around the holidays.
So January wins.

Sure wish we had crossed paths since we were down there the same time as you! Our park days were just never the same as yours :(

me too. :sad2:
I changed our days towards the middle so we might have and never knew. I have learned to go off the schedule. I know shocking to some people on here but I like to do what I feel like that day.
Glad your diver turned out great. I was happy with the menus, we got to take them home and will have them forever. That is funny about her not realizing the menu had pics on it and the diver had a name on it.
Biff will never got o Disney without the DDP. He loves it. He is trying to convince me to do deluxe again in June. :sad2: no is all I can say.
Thanks for reading.

I am glad too. At least I can say I did them.
I liked Circle of Life.
I wish Figment was still there to greet you.
Your about to find out about Nemo.
It is freezing. I am watching a dog here till tomorrow and we went out to do his business and got to the next building and wanted to come in already. :rotfl2: poor dog.

We walked over to the Seas.

Ok here is the video of the ride. It is dark and hard to see and I had to shrink it down to fit so I hope the quality is good.
Sorry it is on Enchanted.

Then we decided to walk around and look at the marine life.

We did not go in this, there was a long line for it.

With that we finished our tour of the Seas.

Up next....

We get stuck in a storm and I am asked "What the hell did I just drink"

That menu from the Coral Reef is so nice! I'm glad you and Biff enjoyed your meal there. I'm always afraid to go because of the reviews, but we just may try it next time. Maybe... Great pictures from The Living Seas. That picture of the stingray's too cute!

Hi - loving your report and am going to try and start my own for our upcoming trip. Just created my own countdown ticker but have no idea how to input it into my signature??:confused3 I love yours and my girls want one of their own but I am so :confused3

Looking forward to your next update!:goodvibes

NM - got it! I have to let you know that reading about your dining experiences have really helped us decide what ADR's we are making. Thank you!

vinny......:rotfl2:

thank you. I like them a lot.
I have heard mixed reviews but we were on the plan so if it was not good no big deal, at least I tried. Lucky for us it turned out to be great.

Hi,
Thank you. you should write on, very fun.

NM - got it! I have to let you know that reading about your dining experiences have really helped us decide what ADR's we are making. Thank you!
I see that you got it. :thumbsup2
ooh, hope I don't steer you wrong. :scared1:

LOVE the new rooms at CSR. We might have to stay here in August if they have them all refurbed by then. I like how there's an actual sliding door between the bathroom and bedroom. I love that resort. The grounds are wonderful. The pool and play area are nice. My only thing ~ those lurking thieves that steal one's panties! :scared1: Those I can do without. We went by here for dinner one night, it was pretty good, but the place was dead. I think there were two other tables in the whole place! Why were the boats closed? I saw boats going at CBR and all around the MK resorts? Weird. Especially since the weather was so nice.

I totally agree...Goofy's should read Molasses "slow as". We had a lot of snacks left over so we brought home a huge bag full of boxed pretzels and cookies to hand out in our Christmas baskets. The neighbors loved them. I'm sure they caused me to gain a good 5 pounds too.

I am loving your trip report so far. Biff sounds like he'd be a trip to go to WDW with. :lmao: Good for him for keeping his seat! Maybe she caught his cold too. And the menus are Coral Reef were awesome! I liked how you included the ride pictures! Very cool.

Can't wait to read more. Bring it on! :thumbsup2

Sitting here on the couch by Maya waiting for our bus to the airport but still have 2 1/2 hours to go because Biff got sick today in a not so convenient place
Puke everywhere
Eewwwwwwww

I hope it wasn't at the Yak and Yeti........

They r very nice. I forgot to mention they the doors did not close all the way. it left about a one inch gap.
thank god I wear boxers. :scared1:
it was gorgeous.
I think because it is not a Disney owned resort, like I found out by the cm. Maybe whoever owns it decides to close them for the season. Not really sure.
those pretzels were delicious just so slow to get them.
thank you.
he is a trip even not on a trip. :confused3
:lmao: maybe she did.
I had to include the infamous splash mountain pic.
thanks for reading.

I hope it wasn't at the Yak and Yeti........
you'll find out on day 7.

Okay caught up....
glad to see you around, I have to see if you updated yours.
