I have only ever been to this restaurant once (for dinner) a few years ago since everyone in my party wanted to try it out. Everyone, except myself, really enjoyed it (I hate onions and a large majority of the menu consisted of items with onions in them so there really wasn't a lot I could eat).

Has the menu changed much lately? I am thinking about booking it since my mom loved it there and it is only going to be the two of us going. I have a couple of places booked I prefer over her (like Coral Reef).

I ate at Biergarten last year, and I don't remember onions being a staple of the dishes there. I know they had chicken legs and salmon, so those should be ok for you.

Yeah, I can't recall if those were on the menu or not when I went. Even the potatoes had onions in them when I went.

I ended up booking it for our January/February trip. Hopefully the food is different than last time.

By the time we go back in January, it will be two years since we have eaten there, but I don't remember things being drowned in onions and I hate them! If I got the dish, then I must have been able to pick them out of the dish.

We ate at Biergarten in March and I don't remember any onion or onion covered dishes. The only salad I tried was the potato salad, and I can't remember if there was raw onions in it or not. I don't like raw onions so I usually stay away from food that may contain them. I think you'll be safe eating at Biergarten. We really enjoy it, and the Schnitzel is fabulous!

Good to know, thanks :) I won't go near raw onions and if cooked onions are soft or mushy I don't mind them but just hate the texture of onions in general.

I hear ya, I don't like the crunch either, :scared:!
I'd like to try the Lobster Roll at Columbia House because it looks so good on the food boards but I fear there may be raw onions in it. Can't risk it, lol!
If there are onions in the food at Biergarten they are definitely cooked down.

Yeah, I keep wanting to try a lobster roll at different restaurants but know most have raw onions in them.
