Hello everybody. Just finished making my dining reservations for my Disney trip which starts January 29. Finally took the plunge and made a lunch reservation for Biergarten. Don't know what to expect but have my fingers crossed that it will be a fun experience. I'm so excited and nervous.

What to Expect:
. . . a German buffet with VERY typical German foods
. . . long tables for communal sitting (up to 12 per table)
. . . German Om-Pah band
. . . singing men and women on stage
. . . some dancing (more dancing and audience participation at dinner)
. . . a FUN, FUN, FUN time

NOTE: This is meant to mimic a German Beer hall where folks gather
together in long tables and eat/drink/talk/sing together. Some folks
might fear sitting with others, but this is the German style. Make the
most of it and enjoy the other patrons.

Se have eaten here a number of times. We have always had great table mates, entertainment is good. We were, however, disappointed in food last time

It is a fun atmosphere! The setting is cool. We enjoy the communial tables, and it really is like German Beer Halls, I have been lucky enough to have eaten in one in a small northern German city.
I did not enjoy the food, but I admittedly do not like German food. I was disappointed there was not more I would like.
I was disappointed in the "entertainment". The sets were very short.
I would not hurry back.

Biergarten one of the restaurants that everyone from my husband, my 16 year old son and now even my almost 3 year old loves this place. We actually really like the food there and have had really good experiences with not only the food but the service as well. I really enjoy the theming and eventhough we have been back numerous times I find myself taking pictures of the inside of the restaurant each trip. :) And the show is short, but it is a lot of fun and if I remember right they play a set just about every hour in the evening.

Our family really likes Biergarten. As others have said, the atmosphere is a lot of fun (especially if you have kids) and the setting is great. We enjoyed the food as well; there was something for everyone-from traditional German food to plainer things like roasted chicken. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We enjoy the atmosphere and the huge beer mugs. We've been lucky and have always been seated with others who also enjoy the large beer mugs.

The cost has gotten crazy though. Since we pay OOP, we probably made our last visit there a few months ago.

It is on our must do every WDW trip list! There would be a revolt at my house if DH and DD(5) found out that I didn't make a Biergarten ADR. DD ranks it right up there with Princess meals as her favorite restaurants at WDW. A standard question from DH as a trip is approaching is "What day are we going to Biergarten?" We've never had a bad meal there. Have fun!

This is also our familys must do every trip! My three kids, 9, 8, and 2 loved this place!

The food is good if not great. Compared with other German food I've had it is on par . Pretzel bread is a must have and it is a fun place to experience. We always walk away with a smile and stuffed.

We love Biergarten. My DW is not keen on German food, but always finds enough to eat here to satisfy. Try a little bit of things that appeal to your eyes, then go back for the stuff that really suits your tastes. Dont let the community feel of eating with others scare you off. Ask others where they are from, how long at WDW, etc. Some will engage in conversation, others, maybe not. But you will know soon enough. Just take it all in, and be sure to see the band at least once. Very entertaining.

We ate here for the first time in August, and everyone in our group loved it! It was a great time!

I booked lunch at 12:30pm or later... because I believe the music performances on stage start at 1pm and repeat through lunch and dinner hours.

Biergarten is one of my favorites. Fun music and I love the food (I like German food). To not like the food, one must be very picky... even for the plain meat and potatos people in our family.... the pork roast was simply cooked and very tender and delicious. Lots of cold salads and sausages... some hot sausages, a German meatloaf... other stuff. Dinner has sauer braten (sour beef). For picky kids, there's cold sausages that look and taste just like hot dogs....

The best things on the lunch buffet: pork roast, german potato salad, pretzel bread, beer. OK, beer is not on the buffet but for a bargain price you get a HUGE glass of German beer!

-- Our visit in 2011 was just as great! Had table right by the stage, great company at our table. Music was more Christmas oriented.

I was really excited to eat at Biergarten during our last trip, and I knew about the communal seating. However we were seated with this really rude family who kept making snarky remarks to us as soon as we got there. We ended up leaving because this family was so rude to us. At that point we didn't want to ask to be seated someplace else because our experience was already ruined. We ended up having grey goose slushes in France for dinner that night. Just be wary of the other people you are seated with and ask to move before it gets out of hand if the people you are seated with are rude and making you uncomfortable. We were a party of 2 seated with a party of 8 who was very put out that we were at their dinner table and basically let us know it.

If you order a beer, you will be asked if you want it "ladies size" or "German size." Be glad you're going in winter--drinking a liter of beer in early summer can wipe you out!

Have fun!

Biergarten has always been one of those restaurants that I would try next time I went to Disney. Now next time has arrived. I'm not crazy about sitting with other people which has been the main reason I opted out. I'm not a picky eater so the food will be no problem and I will have to try the beer. I just hope I am seated with some fun people. Here's hoping.

We've been pretty lucky with our table mates at the Biergarten. One year our family of four was seated with a family of three and a single gentleman. The family was very unfriendly, but the gentleman was just a treat to sit with. He wa retired and comes to Disney often. He gave us some great tips and ideas.

It is also a "must do" for my family. We love the food and the show. I have yet to have a beer there....I feel shame for that!

This is a place that I was never really that interested to go to..... until I saw it! My DH was getting a sandwich @ the outside stand, so I ran in to the restroom. I think it looked so well themed & would love to try it next time! The buffet was very clean & looked like a really nice atmosphere. Enjoy if you get to go & let us know how it is!! :goodvibes

When I saw it, in the late afternoon it was not busy @ all. Maybe try a late lunch or early dinner.
