Biergarten?

I'm with the majority. This is absolutely one of our most favorite places to eat on property! WE love love love the selection of food and the entertainment is great! The desserts are fab - gotta save room for those! Oh my gosh...just thinking about the berries with sweet cream. :cloud9: Anyway, I would absolutely try this place if you haven't before. There's something for everyone!

Very much enjoy the Biergarten. Definitely go during a show time, though - it just isn't the same without the live band, they are great. :)

We have a full review, lots of pictures, in the dining review in my signature.

My wife and I love this place. We always eat here on our trip and sometimes twice a trip. Where we live the other German restaurants we use to goto are now gone and this is usually the only time we get some sort of German food.

We had it on the list because we had never eaten there, I wasnt looking forward to it this last trip. (We made ourselves try new places!) Boy were we wrong, this place was so good!

Dd declared this her new 2nd favorite, after Sci-fi (Loves the movies, cars, etc.) I think Dd ate 4 plates! She was in heaven. Dh loved it and I am a vegetarian who had a great meal! We plan to go back on our next trip! We found new food we loved, mixed in with pretzel bread and some old favorites!

The table we sat at was pretty quiet, the family kept to themselves and that was fine with us. We just said Hi when we sat down and waited to see if they were chatty or not.

We also love this restaurant. There are lots of different types of foods, so most people should not have a problem finding something they like. I personally liked everything I tried ... including the BIG beer!

My DH isn't always that talkative with people he doesn't know, and we didn't have a problem sitting with others. You can either chat it up or just say hello and focus on your food and the show. Not really a big deal.

We are also seated with others at Teppen Edo and it's never been a problem. "Everyone" is on vacation and so things are lighthearted ... if you want to chat, fine. If not, that's fine too.

I wouldn't worry about sitting with "others."

It's amusing to me to see how many have posted that this is an annual "must do" because it's the same for us! Every year we make sure to have an ADR during dinner when the band is playing. The food is always great and the entertainment is outstanding.

I usually get the beer flight, but I can't recall how much it costs.

Per sitting with strangers, we've had experience where it was great and we conversed with our tablemates like old friends; we've had other experiences where they acted as if we weren't at the same table with them. While the former made our dinner more fun, the latter didn't really impact it at all. I say introduce yourselves and see where it goes from there. Besides, the table are set up in a way where you're not really elbow-to-elbow with the other party.

I've been there twice, really liked it the first time, not so much the second. But, I will try it again in the future!

We tried Biergarten for the first time last year and our whole family really enjoyed both the food and entertainment!:thumbsup2

One recommendation I would like to make however, is to try and avoid a really late ADR. I think ours was after 8pm. The final show for the evening was just ending and they were not refreshing the buffet very much.

This Sept our ADR is for 5:35pm and we're very excited!:woohoo:

My youngest son is a very picky eater and he really likes it. This is a must do on all of our trips mainly because it is my 16 year old's favorite restaurant. He's the big meat eater in our family. I am not a big meat eater but I still really enjoy it as well. The show is fun and there is plenty to choose from for me.

Thanks for all of the replies! We were able to get an ADR and we are looking forward to eating here.

WAY back on our first WDW trip ever,1990's,we tried this restaurant . What I remember is the 2 of us , locked arms with a table of strangers swaying back and forth:woohoo:,singing our hearts out, and laughing!! I have no recollection of the food (I don't think it was buffet, who knows...)but I DO remember everyone was served a pitcher-sized mug of beer. We had a wicked blast!party:
We're going again this summer,can't wait!!:goofy:

We've been 3 times. All 3 times were awesome. First time we went without kids. Last two times we had one child with us. All three times the food was good, the show was good and the beer was cold and large. A liter is a lot! :) The food is very close to authentic and there are different selections I would consider somewhat nuetral for children. There are potatoes and macaroni and cheese as well as mini frankfurters for the children. There are many different sausages to choose from and the kraut is awesome.

I agree with PP that the bavarian cheese cake is awesome. Sometimes I think my mom only wants to go for that!!! In 2 out of the 3 visits we sat with another family. No problems there. I've read stories where people had grumpy people or whatever. If it's an issue, ask to be moved if they're loud and obnoxious. If they're grumpy, then ignore them and have fun! You'll enjoy it.

I honestly don't remember the desserts from this place. That may be because I had the "big beer", or it may be for the same reason that I didn't get many desserts at Boma....I stuffed myself so full on the main meal that I didn't leave room for dessert! :scared1: When will I ever learn?
