I keep hearing great things about the atmosphere at Biergarten. Should we check it out this trip? I think my little girls would love the dancing and my in-laws and husband would love the food. The only thing I worry about is what my girls could eat and what I could eat. THe menu seems to be all meat items. I am a vegetarian and my girls will only eat fish and chicken.

YAY YAY YAY! The food is very good there and enough for picky eaters too....roasted chicken, hot dogs, salads, great potato soup, pretzel bread sticks, roasted beef, roast pork, schnitzel which is like a light mac and cheese and veggies...the best apple strudel with vanilla sauce.

Sauerbraten the meat is marinated in vinegar, water, salt, cloves, and bay leaf. The meat is then braised in the oven in a sauce of beef broth and white wine. Swabian Sauerbraten is traditionally served with Spätzle.

Spätzle ['ʃpɛtslə] (help·info) (also Spätzli or Knöpfle) type of egg pasta or dumpling typically found in cuisine from southern Germany and regions of neighboring countries, such as Austria, Switzerland, France (e.g. Alsace) and Italy (e.g. Bolzano-Bozen).
They are both very good.
The food at The Beirgarten is very good and the dinner show is fun. The desserts are great!!! I highly recommend it!

Yes, Yes, Yes! It's a great place to eat. I'm the only one in our pack that enjoys German food. Everyone had plent to eat. DS loved the entertainment. This is a must do (IMHO)! So I say again...Yes :goodvibes .

Definitely a "yay." The Biergarten is a "must stop" every trip. We try to have dinner around 5:30 P.M., the buffet is fresh and the restaurant isn't crowded.

yay!! I ate her with DH in Feb, it was sooo yummy. We didn't have adr, we just walked up, and 5 min later, we were seated, now us only being a party of 2 we were sat with 6 other people in the traditional German way. That was a tad weird eating with strangers!! BUt, it was fun the little show they put on was cute. The atmosphere was nice. The food they had was good! They had fried chicken and mac n' cheese, and this vanilla pudding!!! It was to die for(dessert wise) but they had all kinds of diff foods. Now my kids are way too picky to eat there, but they did have a few things for them they woulda ate. SO, if it was me and i brought my kids, we would skip it, and go for something more of there tastes!! So, ya have to way the pros and cons, yes its a nice place to eat, nay, kids may not enjoy or may leave still hungry!!!:confused3

Ok - I'll be in the minority here - we HATED Biergarten! Have tried it twice now and we're done. I don't set high standards for Disney Dining and I just don't enjoy this place -- and neither does my 12yr. old. But then again, what do I know - we love the San Angel Inn!:confused3

I love Biergarten.

But because it appears to be a concern for some, please be advised that Biergarten seats you with other parties. (If there are 8 of you most likely you will get your own table)

schnitzel which is like a light mac and cheese

Schnitzel is meat. You may be thinking of spaetzle.

I have a friend who does not eat red meat, she does OK at Biergarten with salads, soup and vegetables.

Another yay from us. We love the food and have met a lot of really nice people by sharing a table with them.

OMG, love it!! My 10 & 9 yo sons found plenty to eat as well.

YAY YAY YAY!!!
We not only eat there on every trip, but we try to eat there twice. It's one of the ways I bribe my DH to go to WDW.

My DH and I love Biergarten. This said, we are not vegetarians and there are a lot of meat dishes. We love these dishes and the beers. My MIL is a vegetarian and she sticks mainly to salads and desserts here. There are not many choices for her. She loves desserts and even these are not that exciting.

Biergarten is either a love or a hate. You have to not be bothered by sitting with total strangers (potentially) and like German food. The food is pretty good and the entertainment is really worth a looksee. We've been twice and once was okay and the other was great. We had nice service each time and the staff was fun and interactive. It is worth it to check out.

Yay! DH and I love eating at Biergarten, we go once every trip. I am a picky eater and would normally be bothered by eating with strangers, but both the food and atmosphere are great.

I gotta say I did NOT think I was gonna like this place. It was DBF's choice. I am an extremely picky eater. I do not eat anything related to a sausage or red meat. But, I figured if I didn't find anything for me to eat, I could always fill up on pretzel bread and get a snack later.

This ended up to be one of my favorite places and now on our must-do's for future trips!! For someone who was worried about not finding anything to eat, I ended up eating too much and got a tummy ache!! Well worth it though! :rotfl2:

The spaetzle and shnitzel were my favorites & that's what I pigged out on. I also loved the salads & pretzel bread. Desserts were good...not my favorite buffet desserts of our trip (that prize goes to Boma!), but still very good. The bavarian cheesecake was to die for! We also got a beer flight which was great (no way I could finish those huge regular sized ones!)

The atmosphere of this place was tons of fun! Loved the band and the decor!
We had a great server.

Only thing to be weary of is the seating arrangements-you sit at the same table as other families/guests. We thought this was a little uncomfortable, but we got through it. I've read other people on here did not like this at all. Others changed their ADR's once they found out about the seating arrangements. Most people on here have reported very positive experiences with eating with strangers, but it's just something to keep in mind in case you have personalities where you are shy or averse to this kind of situation.

Anyways, I hope you try it. The Germany pavilion in itself is so much fun and this restaurant is a great experience!!

We too really liked this place....had been to DisneyWorld over a dozen times before ever trying it. We went Dec 30 and are returning in May. The kids, 8 and 5 loved it too!

Yay:thumbsup2 You can't beat the food and atmosphere here.

We have eaten here twice and enjoy it. We had a great server on our first visit to Beirgarten (our other server was attentive as well). An older gentleman from Germany. I wish I could remember his name! He was wonderful and very attentive, quite charming. Anyone have an idea of who I am talking about? I am hoping he is there again when we go in July!
