NOTE: Seating is on long beer-hall tables , so other families
will be seated with you. Although entertainment is at lunch and
dinner, the dinner show is far more fun. Although WDW likes to
Americanize its food, Biergarten remains relatively authentic.
It is good, above average German comfort food.

Paying full price...maybe. If you really like German food, that makes up for somewhat middling food quality, and the entertainment and atmosphere are excellent. As is the beer. If you're a large group or social, it's a better choice--if you're a group of 2-4 that doesn't like talking to strangers, it's not a great choice.

On DDP, certainly, with the same comments about the nature of your party as above.

It's been a long time since we've been, but we used to love the Biergarten, especially for the atmosphere. I don't think we stopped going because we didn't like the food, but rather because there were new places we wanted to try. If you don't want to be seated with strangers or would rather have a quiet meal with your group, this may not be the best choice, but otherwise, I would say go for it!

We love Biergarten...love the food and the atmosphere. My only complaint is having to sit with others.

Go for lunch, it's a lot cheaper (if you're not on DDP) and has mostly the same menu. Make it a late lunch and you won't need dinner.

I like the food, I like the entertainment. I don't like the recent price.

If you want to go, do lunch which is still pretty extreme.

our thoughts were that we were glad we went, but don't know if we'd go back again. The food was average... decent variety, but most of the meats were pretty dry. I didn't think there was enough that my kids ate here. They're not overly picky but I just didn't think they ate well. The entertainment was a lot of fun... I got my DDs (9 & 6) to dance with me, and we had fun with that piece. We were seated with another family of 4 who were not social in the least, so that made it a little less "Biergarten" to us.

I think you should try it if you feel you're interested in it. Good luck!

We go because the beers are huge. The food is okay but honestly, if they didn't serve those pitcher sized beer glasses, we would stop going.

We just ate at Biergarten last week and I have to say it was as good last week as it has been for every other trip we've dined there. I will also say that I love the chefs there. It is the one restaurant I know that a chef will come out and talk to you about any concerns you might have. We have also had them walk us through the buffet line on several occasions. Both our son (15) and our oldest daughter (2) throughly enjoyed their meals. Our daughter is not the best eater in the world - she ate more here than at any other restaurant during our trip. Our two little ones also really loved the entertainment. Nothing like the chicken dance. :thumbsup2

I agree with this completely. Im glad we went, but i dont think i'll be back. I didnt like some of the meats they served. I found enough delish items thou, so im not complaining. I just didnt think it was that great. Some textures of meats were odd. as was the flavour. The cream of cauliflower (or was it leak?) soup was amazing thou. Far better than the one at le cellier! The pretzle bread was way too salty thou. Biergarten is just ok....been there done that. Wont be back cause there are far too many other interesting places I wanna try out! :) But i think if your curious, give it a shot! You got nothing to lose. The entertainment was good....although i grew up on that type of music so it really didnt fascinate me. And my DS11 wouldnt be caught dead dancing to that stuff, so we didnt dance. LOL!

Our family enjoys the Biergarten, and I think we've only eaten there for lunch. The entertainment is fun, and the food offers enough variety to allow anyone in our group a satisfying meal. I've also had good wine and beer there. We've taken 2 German students there, and they both loved it, although they said it was so Bavarian. There are other restaurants I would take off my list before Biergarten.

EAT! We love Biergarten. My kids are sort of picky and it is still a family favorite.

Eat! Entire family including a picky teenage girl really enjoyed this last year. And if you are paying oop, lunch here is a hidden gem - almost exactly the same menu as dinner for a lot less $$.

Beirgarten is one of the restaurants I can still recommend. There is something on their buffet for just about anyone to fill up on.

We go because the beers are huge. The food is okay but honestly, if they didn't serve those pitcher sized beer glasses, we would stop going.

We feel the same way. I always go with a large party to fill a whole table, and those giant beers make everything ok. I also like the dessert table, but can't remember what my favorite dessert is.

I don't like the Biergarden and will not go back willingly. We went 2 years ago with a table size party and I didn't like the food at all. Also the entertainment was way shorter than I expected after all the hype here.
Everyone's tastes are different. If it appeals to you give it a try. There certainly are enough folks who enjoy it.
