Biergarten in Epcot.

Biergarden is an "Octoberfest" themed beer hall. You sit at large tables, often with other guests. (Most tables are for 8). It is a German buffet, but it does have a variety of other foods as well. They have great German beer.
There is an "OOmpah" band which plays intermittently and there is a dance floor, often populated with lots of little ones. It is a good place for families.
Many people love it, and you will find good reviews here on the DIS.
That said, I was very disappointed on our last visit.
We went on a Saturday night during the very busy F & W festival. I waited 45 minutes in line, just to reach the podium to check in. We then waited another 30 minutes to be seated, long after our ADR.
I was disappointed in the buffet. I found the Chicken Schnitzel to be very dry, among other things.
I was also disappointed in the entertainment. It was much briefer than I expected.
This was just my experience. As I said, many people love it. I just will eat at other WS locations, that I enjoy.
Good Luck

of ten think of German food as heavy. Biergarten has a variety of salads and vegetables, chicken, pork as well as the requisite sausages. The potato leek soup is fantastic - even if it is 90 degrees outside. The dinner adds a couple of extra things with sauerbraten being one of my favorites.

Tables are communal with eight seats at most of them. There is a polka band that plays periodically between something like 1:30 - 7:30. There is a small dance floor that's usually filled with kids.

One of my favorite places to eat at Disney.

We ate there for dinner on February 26. We had an early reservation 5PM, so I don't know if that contributed to the wait time, but our wait to be seated was less than 5 minutes. This was our first time eating there.

We found the band to be very enjoyable. And the food was very good. I went to the buffet 3 times - once with salads and appetizers which was my favorite plate for the evening. Then for main courses, and then dessert. I think that there wasn't a single thing I didn't like in the appetizer plate I took, there were a few things I wasn't crazy about with the main course, but I didn't mind at all because there was plenty for me to choose from anyway.

If you go, please make sure that you save room for dessert, there was a cheesecake which was one of our favorite desserts for the whole vacation. We liked it so much, we told our server who promised to pass it on to the chef. Too bad we were so full by that time, we couldn't eat too much of it.

The pretzel rolls are TO DIE FOR good!!!! I'd go back just for those! The other food was good too but I'm a sucker for pretzels!

We LOVE Biergarten. The food, the setting and the oompah band. That said, it is NOT for everyone.Parties less than 8 are seated with other people communal style.

I wanted to hate Biergarten and avoided going for several years but once I finally went, I found I loved it. The food is good, drinking beer with strangers is a hoot and the band is fun.

We went last month on a Wednesday night. Didn't have reservations, but only waited about 5 minutes. Long enough for DH to grab a beer. Sat with a nice family with a child DS7's age.

DS7 is a little picky, but he found things he liked to eat. So many choices. I sooo want to go back!

It's a fun place, food is decent/good. We have been the past two years because of the atmosphere and there are just a few beer drinkers in our family ;)

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The girls love going down to the floor and dancing so we always request a table close to the floor. DH feels the beer served here is some of the best in the World.

It's been a bit since I have but I do remember it was decent food and a fun atmosphere...hope that helps

Must do for us. Food, live show with wonderful music and atmosphere... all we find are so enjoyable! Hope you like it! :goodvibes

Has anyone eaten at Biergarten in Germany. If so can you tell me about it.

It is very much a fun time and interesting way to eat as you share tables and meet other people. the food is good but different on some things because it is Germany:thumbsup2 but well worth the experience. We have tried all WS places for the experiences.:surfweb::

I know beer and wine aren't included in the price, but are soft drinks and tea included? I just wanted to know before I ordered. Thanks!

We ate there on Tuesday for the second time. The food is good, not amazing. My favorites were the chicken schnitzel with gravy, pretzel bread, creamy califlauer (no idea how to spell that!) soup (soups change - last time we were there, it was potato leak soup, also yummy), German potato salad, and beef roulades. The oompah band is fun, but the sets don't change very often. The songs were almost exactly the same as our previous visit. If you haven't done it before, I think it's a great experience. The band is really engaging and gets people on the floor. Both times we were there, our kids had a blast dancing on the dance floor. Ask for a seat on the dance floor. You may wait a little longer, but it's worth it - makes it easier to supervise the little ones. The theming is nice too - it looks like you are in a town square at night in Germany. Beer isn't included but you can get beer flights, half liters and full liters of beer. I saw some people drinking wine too, but most go for beer. Alcohol isn't included in the price, but soft drinks are included.

I pretty much end up there every trip even if I don't originally plan to. The food is consistently pretty good, they have the best beer in Epcot if you like darker beers, and the band is fun. I also like sitting with other people.

I'd give it a try.

we went in 2009 for the first time... and never again.

the food was blah, dry, and tasteless. We enjoy cultural foods from all areas of the world, and have had german food many times, but this was just plain, and not worth a TS in our opinion.

Has anyone eaten at Biergarten in Germany. If so can you tell me about it.
It is a MUST-do for every one of our Disney trips. One year we went 3 times in a week!!! I have a polish background, so it really takes me back when I was a kid, it's a very nostalgic place for me!!!! DH LOVES the food and 1L beer (which he sometimes regrets getting, because it leaves less room in his tummy for the great food). We always meet new interesting people from all over the world, and the decor is spot-on, and beautiful!!! We love love LOVE this restaurant!

I have wanted to go there for years but thought I'd be uncomfortable with the communal dining but we went two years ago and loved it. Sat with a great bunch of people - laughed alot! I am not a buffet person but really enjoyed the food - to the tune of 3 trips LOL!

We are planning another visit this fall!!

The Beirgarden is a nice break from the hot Florida sun! The entertainment is fun- a lot of people were dancing last time we were there- and the restaurant has great food- defiantly the best Mac n' Cheese on property!
