Biergarten - BIG thumbs up!

We ate there Tuesday, and we absolutely loved it! I had never had German food before, and I thought everything was wonderful. My husband and son also loved it as well. My husband was a bit skeptical at first because he used to live in Huntsville, and they have a few German restaurants there. He said that the food at Biergarten was typical of the food they had at those small family owned German restaurants, but actually tasted a little better! We had a family of 4 from California at our table, and they were very nice. They didn't know much about the parks, so I imparted my DIS knowledge to them, and they were very appreciative. We also had two 20 something looking guys at our table, and they seemed a little annoyed that our 3 year old was being a little loud. Other than that, we had a great experience.

we love Biergarten too.......we have had some interesting people and some "interesting" people........love the atmosphere and the potato leek soup.....my favorite......hubby always has the dessert first.....cheesecake with vanilla sauce....weird I know.....

the Beirgarten! I have eaten there around 20 times and have never been disappointed. Even when the swap out dishes, the new ones are just as good or better than the other and we love the entertainment. With a lot of the other restaurants going down hill (Mexican was awfull) this one is a treasure We will be going back in September for my birthday!

Our group of 10 ate there on 6/16 - we loved it! Ranging from age 7 to age 45, we had a diverse group and everyone loved the food. They seemed to seat most parties at 8-person tables, but they had one 10-person table right in front of the stage that they gave us - it was so great.

My 7-year-old niece and I danced a polka together while the band played and we had a great time! Highly recommend it!!

hmmm... i was thinking of booking this for our upcoming trip, but we'll have a 4yo and 3yo (my nephews), and I don't know how quiet the 3yo will be. I always thought this place was loud inside (so a good place for little kids who might be loud themselves). does the band play all the time? or just hit and miss? I'd only want to be there when the band is playing.

I'm so glad to read a good review of Biergarten. It was one of only two TS requests made by 7yo DD (the other was Sci Fi and so far no luck getting a ressie during our trip I've been a little iffy about it so thanks!!

We ate here in '06 with the family, and everyone found things we enjoyed on the buffet. The entertainment was a lot of fun. DD received a GIANT gingerbread man at the end of the meal (she was wearing her Birthday Badge). It's the only restaurant my hubby specifically requested we repeat on our upcoming trip.

this is my favorite place to go in Epcot. We always start our vacation here. The food and beer are fantastic - my favorite are the raspberry shortbread cookies with sliced almonds on them. I am not afraid to admit that I wrap a couple and stick them in my bag for later (shhh) !

hmmm... i was thinking of booking this for our upcoming trip, but we'll have a 4yo and 3yo (my nephews), and I don't know how quiet the 3yo will be. I always thought this place was loud inside (so a good place for little kids who might be loud themselves). does the band play all the time? or just hit and miss? I'd only want to be there when the band is playing.

The band plays for set periods of time, but it's pretty loud in there even when the band's not playing.

To the OP, I agree- out of all the places we ate, DH and I both agreed that Biergarten was our favorite. We ate there for lunch a few weeks ago and even contemplated seeing if we could return for dinner that night!

By the way, I picked my ADR time based on Steve Soares' site, and it was absolutely right -- they really did come out when he said they were scheduled. Made it just perfect!
