Is the Biergarden back to being a buffet (are any buffets back for that matter) and is there any indication of when it may go back? Is it still the big benches for seating?

I managed to get a party of 9 and a party of 6 (we have an overall party of 15) reservations with 5 minutes of each other, which is going to have to suffice. At least we'll all be in the same general area around the same general time for dinner.

Yes, it's back to a buffet. I don't recall benches when we were there a few years ago, it was a table for 8 which was shared with another group since we were only four. I don't think they are sharing tables at this point, at least I hope not.

Because we are actually 2 separate reservations within 5 minutes of each other, I wonder if they will seat us together?

Meh, won't hurt to ask right?

Thanks for the answer!!

We always hated having to share a table with strangers. We had one family that ignored us and another German fellow and his wife that did nothing but complain about how things were not the way they were back home. We also very much preferred the original table service format when the restaurant first opened. To us, the buffet is just cheap American versions of what some people "think" is good German food. I wish the authentic, better quality food was an option and that the shared table concept went away.

Ask at the podium for tables next to each other. It would be a lot of fun with a big group!

Meh ,I'm just there for the beer and lederhosen anyways. The food is ok, but my kids love the music and I love the beer.

We never minded sitting with others and actually met some people we still keep in contact like 12 years later. It's supposed to be like an Octoberfest celebration from what I understand.

My group is a talkative social bunch. We are the type that if you are in a long line with us and are friendly, we'll know each other like old friends. Haha.

Definitely!! In 2019 we went with a group of 9 and got in conversation with the table next to us. By the end of it we had something like 20+ people singing along and had the servers / cast member cracking up and joining in!!

All they can say is no and then they'll deal with us walking all around the dining room from table to table.

Yeah... in that case you'd be better alone. But I do love sharing a table with other people(at least pre-covid anyway) -definitely had some fun in the past. And unfortunately, if they made the food authentic, they'd have trouble getting people in there

Just there. It is a buffet and they do not share tables with other parties. I think they will seat you together or very near each other if you ask. We enjoyed it very much!
