I am looking for some info from those of you who have already gone to the Bibbity Bobbity Botique. In your opinion, is it worth $175 for the castle package? What price range are the princess dresses in? I know that the local Disney Store sells more than 1 price costume. Are all the dresses the more expensive ones, or do you have a choice? For instance, last years more expensive Cinderella dress was very scratchy, no way would my DN princess: have worn it. I don't want to spend $$$ for a dress she would not wear!

Also has anyone taken the time to add up the cost of all the extras that go with the dress? Would it be cheaper to buy the pieces seperately and get the coach package?

You may have guessed that I am really torn as what to do. I have the Crown package booked as a suprise for my DNs, along with dinner at Cinderella's Gala Feast. But the youngest has told me that if she gets to eat dinner with Cindy (I asked her as a "what if" question) if she would want to get dressed up. And she informed me that not only would she need a dress, but she would need glass slippers, and a crown, and a wand! So I don't know if I should just go out and buy a costume seperately. Any ideas on what would make more sense dollar wise?

Lets bump this because these are all questions I need answered too!! :rotfl2:

I have never taken my daughter there but some fo the costumes are more expensive. I think that the pricing for the castle package STARTS at $175 and goes up.

I got this from allearsnet.com

Coach Package: Includes hair style and shimmering makeup -- $35 plus tax.
Crown Package: Includes hair style, shimmering makeup and nails -- $45 plus tax.
Castle Package: Includes the Crown Package plus an imaging package (one 6x8-inch photo and four 4x6-inch photos in a Princess-themed photo holder). Also includes a complete child-size costume with accessories -- starting at $175 plus tax.

Hi Maxiesmom from a neighbor

I have read all the threads on BBB since we are taking my 4-year old niece in September. Since she already has both a Cinderella dress and a Belle dress from the Disney Store, we have decided to book the cheapest package.

To help keep the cost down, last weekend I purchased a princess nightgown including a wand from Kohls and Cinderella slippers from the Disney Store (both at Rivertown Crossings). I am also planning to look for some princess jewelry to take along with us. I expect we will let her pick something out to buy as part of the experience, however.

We too plan to go to dinner at 1900 Park Fare with our princess!

I booked it for my DD on the night of the MNSSHP (sep 29th) and the woman told me it was a flat rate of $175, that included Hair,Makeup, nails a costume with shoes, crown and wand and a photo package :confused3

Just got back a week ago and my little sis got her hair done she was 15, she was thrilled and as we were waiting a woman celebrating her birthday said "When am I going to be able to be a kid again?" She got her hair done!! It was so great.

For the more expensive package I beleive they give you the costume shoes, wand, crown and you even get the small makeup kit they use on your child included. The expereience was really cool, plus if you have a photo pass, they have a photographer there at all times taking pictures of the process and then when it is finished as well.

Check out Walmart for the Cinderella outfit. The dress was $17.99 when I purchased it for my niece for Easter. They also had the wand, shoes, and tiara. I didn't pick them up though, so I don't know what the cost of those items is.

Personally, I think $175 is a ton of money. I'd go with the cheaper package and buy the outfit separately.

I love the quality of the costumes they have in Disney. Tp be honest once we get there we really don't worry too much about the money. I just work alot before we leave. Got to love Nursing, always over time to be had

When I booked my DD's Castle Package the other day, the CM told me it could be more than $175.00 if we choose the deluxe costume. I know some of the princess costumes have more than one (i.e. Ariel has the green bottom with purple top mermaid style OR the white bride style dress, Belle has the yellow or the red dress). I just had my DD try on her Aurora dress we bought last year at WDW to try the size out again, and after about 10 minutes of having it on she started freaking out about the itching! I hope that Belle dress isn't as scratchy because the WDW dresses are sooo beautiful with lots of attention to detail!

I too am interested in hearing about experiences people have had at the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, I am planning on booking this for my two daughters for our next trip. I am sure it is precious, we did the Perfectly Princess Tea Party on our last trip and it was amazing, definitely worth the money.

As far as the costumes go, I would definitely go with a Disney costume, there is no comparison when it comes to quality between them and the Wal-Mart versions. If I remember correctly, the deluxe costumes are usually about 25-30 more than the regular costumes. We have bought several costumes over the years and DD has never found any of them to be uncomfortable.

She wore this Belle costume several times on our trip, including all day on her birthday (it was December, so she wasn't too hot)

One money saving tip we have used for costumes is to keep an eye on Ebay, Disney sells their left over costumes when they change styles and we have gotten beautiful yellow Belle and Snow White costumes for half the price that way.

Hi
I also booked the crown package for my granddaughter (3 1/2) and after that we are going to 1900 Park Fare to meet Cinderella. Does anyone know if they give you a tiara for your hair at BBB or should I buy her one before we go?

I forgot to mention, that I bought a beautiful Cinderella dress at Target for 17.49. It was the biggest size they had, 4-6X. I've looked for larger sizes in the stores, but couldn't find any. If you need a bigger size, Toys R Us might have them. They had a big selection of dresses last time I was there.

We are also planning BBB before our 1900 park fare dinner reservation. How much time should we allow at the boutique? I have been looking around for dresses, including ebay. I found a great website. The name of the place is My Dress Up Trunk. Google it and you can get the url. The dresses are 19.99. Most accessories are 5.99.

Love the dresses from My Dress Up Trunk. I have bought three princess outfits from them.

My dd has an appt the morning of her 4th birthday and is then going to the Princess lunch in Norway. We are going the crown package because she doesn't need any of the princess costumes.

My dd had a few Cinderella dresses everything from the very expense white coronation dress ($98.00) and the matching cape to a silky blue one bought at Target. As much as I love the white dress my DD doesn't like it because it is very scratchy. She wore it all night on halloween.

I made ressies at BBB for the Crown package. I asked DD which dress she wanted to bring. She chose the silky blue one from Target. She said that one is more comfortable. I made her a necklace:

She chose to wear her sparkly sandals which are pretty and comfy

I knew she would be getting a tiara at BBB.

I wanted my DD to be pretty and comfy and I think we achieved that. She felt good and looked adorable. I couldn't see spending 175 on an outfit and accessories that she probably wouldn't wear again. The shoes that go along with the costumes are plastic and don't look comfy. I saw one little girl at dinner and she had on the plastic shoes and her feet were all scrunched up and red. When I saw her later on she was limping and on the verge of tears.

I also opted to get her pictures done and put onto my photopass and bought the cd right at World of Memories.

I have pictures in my siggy of BBB if you want to peek also here is a link from PF: http://www.lynntabor.com/victoria/cgf.htm
