Okay, I called today to get a reservation for May 8th and they were open all afternoon. So I scheduled an appt. for 3:30 p.m. but I am thinking this may be too early.

We are going to AK that morning and have a 7:10 reservation at 1900 Park Fare. We are driving our own car but I just don't know how long it will take to get from Downtown Disney to the Grand Floridian.

I was trying to factor in if they are running late and going to get pictures taken, I am now thinking that I should make it for later like 4:30 or 5:00. What do you think, should I leave at 3:30 or make it later?

I signed up for the Crown package but did ask if we could upgrade to the castle package when we got there and they said yes we could upgrade but not downgrade. Are the costumes for the castle package really nice and worth the money?

Thanks in advance. I am getting so confused with all of this planning and not knowing when exactly everything is.

Yeah, I'm trying to plan in a BBB visit for dd, but I didn't realize it was in DTD. For some reason I assumed it was in MK.

If you want her to have time to enjoy being a princess for awhile (walking around DTD, Grand Floridian (in the air conditioning), etc...I think that time is okay. I would suggest leaving DTD at least by 6:15 to get over to GF w/ time to spare. Also, from what I've read on this board, chances are her appt. will not run exactly on time. There are some ladies on this board that usually will respond to the BBB posts with good info and pics as they have done it before. If you do decide to move it later, I wouldn't do it later than 4 or 4:15.

We were there in Feb. our appointment was not on time. It was not a very long wait but def, not on time. I would keep the appointment and let her get compliments where ever you shall go. It is expensive get your monies worth. I thought the costumes were nothing to write home about for the price. My daughter has a pink sleeping beauty from sams club about 3-4 years ago much better made.

I would keep your appointment, especially if you want to upgrade. We had the first appointment of the day, and they were running just a wee bit behind but nothing major. However, when we went to do the photo shoot, the photographer was running waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind. Apparently he was taking photos of every child in this one family - five kids and only two of them were girls from the boutique. Each child had to have individual pictures, pictures with each individual sibling, all the girls together, all the boys together, all the kids together ... you get the idea. The photo sessions are supposed to be 20 minutes, but we waited over an hour for this family, and he had already started on them before we got there. I really hope they have stopped this practice By late afternoon, I couldn't begin to imagine how backlogged they would be.

I would leave your ressie for the time that you have b/c if you arrive for 3:30 and they don't seat you till 3:45 you may not be completely done until 4:15 to 4:30 if you do pics that could be another half hour or plus as a pp stated. If you have time left over you can just head over to GF and check it out or spend a little extra time at DtD shopping you can also take the bus from your resort to DtD and then from DtD to GF. I would think that it is about 30 minutes to GF from DtD. Have a great trip.

I would leave your ressie where it is. However, unlike others -- they actually took DD 15 minutes early for her appointment in December.

Since you have your car -- it will be easier. We spent alot of time on busses. Because we went to MGM in the morning -- had to go back to our resort to catch a bus to DTD.

You will also need the extra time -- because if you are like me - the time spent waiting for BBB is not enough time to look at all the stuff at WofD.

Re: dresses. We brought a Cindy dress from home. But, I convinced DD(4) that she also needed the Sleeping Beauty dress. So, we left with Aurora's gown and shoes in hand. If I remember the dress was $80 by itself. I can't remember the shoes. If you do the package -- I think they give you another accessory also.

And, listen to this, while we were there, another "princess" ruined her dress with the makeup they give you to take home. Would you believe it -- they let her pick another dress. WOW!! I was impressed.

This was the highlight of DD's trip. Make sure to take the time so she will enjoy it all and won't feel rushed.

This was also the highlight of my DD's last trip. Don't change the time - half the fun is in the time they get to show off their new looks! I had to do a mini make-over for DD on a couple of the other days during our trip as she loved having the hair extensions, make-up, etc. on so much. princess: Also, we stopped and had a caricature done before leaving DTD which turned out to be one of my favorite souveneirs.
