Bibbiti Bobbiti - Our Boo gets a MAW Trip to meet the Princesses Feb 1-7

A new package arrived on Monday and Chelsea excitedly said "get your camera mama and let's open it!" I explained to her that we had to wait until the whole family was home to which she looked at me and said "is this going to become a habbit of us having to wait to open boxes mama because I don't know if it should?"...love kids and the way they think!:rotfl:

So dinner was finally over and it was time to take the box shot!

DSC05194.jpg

I helped them pull the tab and get it open. They quickly decided the pink package was for Chelsea and the Green package was for Fuller.

DSC05195.jpg

Each package had the sweetest artwork done by Maddie which now hangs in their rooms. They thought it was so cool and were busy checking it out. Fuller immediately noticed the F on his picture and then Chelsea found the C on her picture. Maddie is a good little artist...you'll have to trust me as I guess I did not get a close up of the adorable pictures she made.

DSC05198.jpg

Finally the big tear into the package moment they had been waiting for all afternoon.

DSC05199.jpg

Sheer joy and squeals filled out house as the kids opened the packages. Inside they each had the cutest, coolest, neatest, funest, for Chelsea twirliest and for Fuller the hansomest Scooby Doo clothes ever made. They immediately put them on and wanted their pictures taken in every way possible. A hug picture (did not come out perfect but I adore the love in the picture). They were super happy when they noticed how their outfits matched each other.

DSC05201.jpg

Then Fuller doing a bit of a Cowabunga Dude since the last Scooby we watched was a movie where they were Scooby and the gang were in Hawaii. He loves button up shirts like this one and was so excited when he put it on.

DSC05209.jpg

Then Chelsea decided to do her ballet class curtsey because "Mama I have on a twirly dress!"

DSC05204.jpg

Lots of dancing then took place around the house...here is one of Chelsea and her prince Fuller.

DSC05225.jpg

The dancing turned into Chelsea basically twirling all over the house until bedtime. It was a bit hard to catch her face but I just love the action of these pictures and then I finally caught her facing me.

DSC05219.jpg

DSC05211.jpg

Both of the kids wanted to sleep in their outfits so they would have them on in the morning when they woke up. I explained we will put them in the box I set up with things we need to pack and then wear them on our trip. Fuller then wanted to clarify something with me "Mama when we get home we can wear them as much as we want right?" Think he might be a little bit excited!?!:yay::yay:

Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much Jamie, Abbie, Gray and Maddie for the amazing outfits...they are SO VERY CUTE! Scooby loving Fuller and Chelsea just LOVE  the clothes and can't wait to wear them on our trip and anytime they want to after! Everything fits so great too...such amazing sewing! :worship::worship: Special thanks to Maddie for her artwork too. The kids thought it was so special that she made pictures for them. Thank you again for your amazing thoughtfulness!

Wow...this Big Give adventure is so amazingly humbling and wonderful. The thoughtfulness from all involved has really made a huge impact on our family. My husband just commented to me last night that he felt the overall mood in our house is pretty amazing and that Monday, Chelsea's diagnosis anniversary did not even seem like that big of a deal...pretty awesome is the power of the Big Give for our family. Thanks for sending so much love our way we so appreciate it!:grouphug:

Those Scooby Big Gives R awesome! We R Big Scooby Doo fans here ! They are soo cute... I love the matching too.
Also your photos R great...!
:jumping1:

can you say "Super Cute" OMG love the outfits....the dancing is precious...I so miss the days of when Megan used to "pin" in her twirly skirts....that was her prereq before buying one, they had to "pin"!!!

I can just see them dancing their way around the "world"

Just wanted to pop over from the Disboutiquers board and check out all the recent Big Gives you have been receiving. Everything looks amazing!! As part of the Big Gives, I can tell you that when you say your heart is happy from receiving the gifts, just remember ours are twice as happy when we send them to you. It is a priviledge to be part of such a wonderful group of people and the smiles on these little faces is why we do what we do and it makes our day!! WE love what we do!

That being said...all of the outfits and pixie dust you have received are great. I love the "twirl" pictures in the scooby doo dress and I am just awed by the love your children show to one another. Awesome! You put a smile on my face today! Thanks for all of the pictures.

God Bless

Being my first time participating in a Big Give -- you've summed it up perfectly!!

Happy Friday everyone,
Brenda

Ditto :goodvibes it does my heart good to see all the happy, smilie faces!

Boxes, boxes, boxes...so on Wednesday when this amazing package arrived the mailman who really never stops by our house asked me if I had started a home business because of all the arriving packages. I told him all about the Big Give, amazing people in the world, kindness and generosity...it was a pretty cool conversation to have with our very nice mailman.

Fast forward to after dinner Fuller and Chelsea had one thing on their mind...finishing our meal and getting to open the package. Each time a package arrives we look on a map to see where it is from. This one was especially interesting to the kids as it came from another country, Canada!

Here is the ever so popular around our house picture with the box. You will see here that Chelsea is in her PJ's...It was pajama day at school for her and she decided that she should be able to wear them all day since that was her "clothes" for the day and who am I to argue!?!

DSC05262.jpg

When we removed the wrapping it was a cereal box...the kids were a bit puzzled and we had some fun with it. Fuller said "Would they send us cereal in the mail? It's a long way for cereal to come from.":)

DSC05265.jpg

We asked them "Do you think this feels like cereal in the box?" so Fuller checked it out and decided it did not sound like cereal.

DSC05266.jpg

Having decided it was not really cereal they got into the box!:woohoo:

DSC05267.jpg

Not Cereal but clothes and pillow cases filled the special box. "Look Mama it's Minnie, Mama it's Mickey too!" "Are those princesses on that pillow? Look Mama it's my Chelsea!" (what she says lately when she recognizes her name)

DSC05268.jpg

Here is Fuller with his new snazzy Mickey Shirt.

DSC05271.jpg

Chelsea with her new beautiful Minnie Dress.

DSC05270.jpg

A little side story here...At this point Fuller and Papa had to leave for their date night. We have family date night weekly that rotates, one week Fuller goes with Papa and Chelsea goes with Mama, the next week Chelsea goes with Papa and Fuller goes with Mama and the last week in the rotation Mama and Papa get an evening out while the kids stay home with my folks, my cousin or a sitter. Most of what we do is free or really cheap just around town but I have to say date nights rock! I love the one on one time with my kids and my husband---win win!

So with our boys gone and Chelsea and my plans starting a bit later she tried on her dress.

DSC05278.jpg

I even remembered to get out her new Mickey clip she had received earlier as I just new it would be so very cute with the dress. Here is a top of her head shot as she practices the curtsey some more.:cutie:

DSC05277.jpg

Then her Minnie Mouse toy joined the fun. Chelsea loved that she looked the same as Minnie...well minus the mouse face and big ears.:lmao: They danced around for quite awhile but all blury pictures of that.

DSC05294.jpg

Then Chelsea decided to try out her new pillow case...it matches her princess blanket she has on her bed normally so perfectly.

DSC05284.jpg

So the next morning Fuller let me get some pictures of him with his Mickey sleep friend he has had forever and his new pillowcase.

DSC05337.jpg

Chelsea not wanting to miss out on picture taking fun joined in too...with a her matching princess doll. Fuller and Chelsea love the new pillowcases!

DSC05339.jpg

Thank you so much Flora (Dis PurpleEars) for the awesome clothes for the kids and the special pillowcases. We especially had fun joking with the kids over the clever use of the cereal box.;) I hope you can imagine two very happy sleepy heads falling asleep every night since they arrived on your wonderful pillowcases. They are also so excited about the new clothes. They keep on talking about how they are both pretty sure Mickey and Minnie will love the outfits just like they do! Thank you so much for your wonderful thoughtfulness. :thanks:

Coming soon..."Really there are more boxes for us...are we special or something?" Fuller upon coming home from school and noting the arrival of two more boxes.

Thanks to all our Big Give friends for making us all feel so very special!

family date night is a great idea....my DH and DD always went to the bookstore, got a drink and hung out reading the magazines...we still try doing that in his memory....

I am glad that the box arrived without any problems. Thank you so much for the play-by-play on opening the box! I am happy to hear your family had fun with the cereal box - it was what I could find in the house that day. Hopefully Chelsea and Fuller don't think that's the only type of cereal Canadians eat :rotfl:

I think your family's date night idea is great.

I also want to thank you for sharing those pictures - they brought a huge smile on my face after a long day. Seeing Chelsea and Fuller's smiling faces really make the time spent on sewing worth it!

I truly hope your family will have a wonderful trip. I am looking forward to finding out if Mickey and Minnie will like their outfits too!

Maddie was so excited to see Fuller and Chelsea wearing their Scooby Doo clothes. I think Chelsea must be a lot like Maddie. The first thing she has to try out when wearing a new outfit is the "twirl factor." :cutie:

Thank you again so much for everything. I love the term "twirl factor" because it is checked on most items that Chelsea puts on around here! She ad Maddie are probably much alike:cutie:

We will make sure to tell Scooby Hi for you all...thanks again so very much, Chelsea still asks to put the outfit on to practice dancing before the trip.

Your pictures are awesome. So glad that the BIG GIVE gave you a break from the stresses that come with the diagnosis anniversary! Can't wait to see more....

Thanks so much...it has been really lovely!

I can just see them dancing their way around the "world"

I can totally see them dancing around the "world" also.:) I have to keep reminding myself I have this small window of time when she loves everything frilly, twirly, ruffely and as girly as it gets. It sure is fun for now and I intend to continue to take full advantage of it!

I am really thankful for what you all do with the Big Give. I love that you love it and I have to tell you it is life changing to receive such amazing kindness. Thanks for checking in.

Everything we have received is so amazing and has been made or put together with such love...I know you realize this but being on the receiving end of the big give is amazing!

I kept thinking the same thing as I watched your PTR and Juliana would react to her gifts...I know a little girl who would do the same thing. Sweet little girls are really amazing!

love the cereal box....recycling at its best :thumbsup2

the outfits and pillowcases are so cute....Chelsea is getting very good with her curtesies!!!

Yup, recycling is exactly what the kids thought and they thought it was pretty cool! The mailman is certainly earning his keep around our house...he was just so funny because like I said he normally does not stop by to often.:)

I am so glad that your DH and DD had date nights...what great memories for her of time spent just with her dad. It is really lovely that you still try to do so in his memory...you are an amazing mom and have an amazing heart to share such love through the big give with so many families!

Loving all the Big Give outfits. That scooby dress is sooo cute. I can't wait to see more.

More is on the way...soon I hope. ;) Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you again so very much. They loved the box and immediately said "look it was recycling" which we try and teach them about as much as possible. Plus we had a bit of fun asking them if they thought they had been sent cereal.;):rotfl:

I am so glad that we were able to bring a smile to your face after a long day...you brought huge smiles and fun to us! They just love the clothes that you so lovingly made for them and like I said the pillow cases were a huge hit too.

Thanks again for your thoughtfulness we appreciate it so much!:thanks:

I am so sorry I am so behind on getting the new thank you's up...where does the time go???? So Thursday when we got home from school there were two more boxes waiting for us which had Fuller saying "Two more boxes for us. Are we something special?" Leave it to my five year old to sum up how we have been feeling around here--Special! :goodvibes

Fuller and Chelsea stalked the boxes the rest of the afternoon and could not believe how loooooooong it takes papa to get home from work. Finally with dinner over it was time to open the boxes. :cool1:

The kids set up this picture with the box themselves...it was so cute and went something like this, "Brother you sit her and the box can go here." "Okay Bitty you sit there then, this will be a good picture." Won't it be funny if they start to do that next time we get a box from Amazon with my husbands coffee in it?:rotfl:

DSC05313.jpg

Inside the box was Pixie Dust...such cool and amazing pixie dust pixiedust:for our family. Here are the kids with their bags. I am really lucky they even let me take this picture they wanted to see what was inside.

DSC05317.jpg

Finally I let them dig in! So here they go....

DSC05318.jpg

The next few pictures are from them pulling the treasures out of their bags...it is like they knew Fuller and Chelsea because everything they pulled out of the bags made them oohhs when pulling out a princess scenes block and aahhs like this when finding a new headband and hair clip.

DSC05323.jpg

DSC05320.jpg

Fuller especially loved this toy story block...you can pull it apart a bit and put it back together in many different configurations to make different scenes from the movie. Really cool!

DSC05334.jpg

Fuller and Chelsea were super excited about the spinning light sticks. They have seen them before and have asked for some so they were a huge hit and are already tucked away to be packed and taken with us. All Chelsea's pictures with her are a blur but here is Fuller.

DSC05326.jpg

Chelsea got a tinkerbell doll which she just "had" to sleep with that very night!:tinker:

DSC05322.jpg

I was able to get one last picture of them with all the treats before it was just too much and they had to start playing with the new toys and goodies:). They loved the pictures and notes from Carmella and Catherine and have them hanging in their rooms. Fuller especially gets so excited that new friends have sent them pictures.

DSC05328.jpg

Thank you so much Dave, Laura, Carmella, Catherine and John (Dis:wishin' on a star) for your so thoughtful package. I immediately remembered who you were from your Dis name as I had read your PTR and TR. It was so thoughtful and nice of you to be a part of our Big Give. The kids are excited about their Airplane busy books as are Mama and Papa;) and we have been having fun with the Trivia fun at Dinner...we are learning so much.:woohoo: The kids just love all the treats...Fuller has been busy playing with his car, Chelsea flying her Tinker Bell around (she hopes to build her a fairy house) and reading the new books at bedtime. They keep on asking about the things I put away for the flight so they will be excited to see them again in a few weeks. Thank you again so very much and special thanks to Catherine and Carmella for their adorable notes and pictures.:thanks:

So Thursday evening we had another fun box to open up...It really is still Christmas time around here! So after playing with the toys from the last box we settled the kids down to open another. They were excited to open the box!

DSC05301.jpg

We cut the tape for them (scissors kept at a better distance then in some previous pictures :))and let them open the box up to see what treasures were inside.

DSC05302.jpg

There was a cool Buzz Lightyear bag for Fuller witch he has already decided to keep his Toy Story Matchbox cars in.

DSC05303.jpg

There was also a fantastic Mickey Jedi shirt for Fuller. He told me that night "I might never take this shirt off it is so cool!" He really loved it.

DSC05309.jpg

Chelsea had an adorable princess purse and Minnie Skirt and Top. She would barely pose for this picture because she wanted to get her new clothes on and NOW!

DSC05304.jpg

So we finally got her happily all dressed up. Such a cute outfit. I had to laugh at the blur of Fuller basically prancing around in the background in his new shirt.:lmao:

DSC05307.jpg

They spent the rest of the night wearing the new outfits and were so sad to take them off for bed. While I have explained to them that they will get to wear the new clothes on vacation I think they just can't wait. They are going to have so much fun wearing the new clothes in the parks! :woohoo: That said here is one last picture of them together.

DSC05310.jpg

Thank you so much Lori (Dis:my disney trio) for the adorable clothes and bags for the kids. I am pretty sure Fuller does not think he has ever seen anything so cool :cool1:as his Jedi Mickey shirt and Chelsea loves her cute :cutie:outfit. The bags are so wonderful...like I said Fuller already is using his to keep his Toy Story Matchbox cars in and Chelsea used hers for Ballet on Saturday. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness...we really appreciate it so very much more then I feel like I can say. We hope you and your family have an amazing vacation at the end of the month. Say hi to Mickey and Minnie for us!

Those smiles and sweet children tell the story :woohoo:...I am incredibly excited for you all and the generosity of so any who are making your trip even more magical. I appreciate all of the pictures your are sharing, I know what an effort that is! I am looking forward to reading more!

So CUTE!! Im so happy they are loving their special attention! You all deserve it!!!
