Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique Questions

So if you don't do the castle package and do the crown package you can just buy the dress at normal price at that time? I was thinking of buying a dress a head of time cause I didn't want to do the whole castle package cause we didn't need all the accessories and we don't need the printed photos. It would be awesome if I could pay for the hair and make-up package but she could still pick out a dress there and put it on there if I just pay for the dress and not the whole bigger package.

Yep, this is what we've done both times DD went to BBB. Just let them know when you check in that you'd like to buy a dress with the crown package and they will let your daughter look through the dresses to pick one.

Oh ok! Maybe that's an option too then! Because we may not need all the accessories either. The accessories are tiara and wand? And doesn't the hairstyle come with a little comb tiara anyway? So that may actually be a better option for us as well. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much just the dresses cost there?

If your daughter is really set on being Anna, I'd buy one and bring it. Look at somewhere like Mom Approved Costumes, they have a new Anna Coronation gown that is nicer than Disney's and half the price.

Yes, the hairstyle comes with a little tiara which I like better than the larger costume tiaras. The dresses are around $60.

I agree with PP's, either bring your dress or warn your daughter she may not get her first choice. We are doing this for the second time in July and I have told my daughter to be sure she has three choices she would be okay with. The first time we went she was dead set on Ariel and fortunately they had Ariel's dress in her size, but I think we may have had a meltdown if they had not. This time she knows they may not have her first choice so she will have two backup choices.

I would definitely bring our own except this whole trip is a surprise and I want her to be able to pick which princess dress she wants. I honestly think if I just picked one ahead that there's more of a chance she'd get upset that I picked the wrong one rather than her picking and them not having it and her having to pick a new one because then it's still her decision, ya know? Sounds like with her size I should have a pretty good shot that they'll have what she picks. And if not then I'm hoping she'll be ok with picking a 2nd choice (although it may take some bribery, but I'm ok with that)!

Does anyone know how the photos work if you have an AP, and are not going to purchase Memory Maker? I'm confused about the whole picture thing. They take pictures during the makeover, and then there's a $35 add on? I am doing the Crown Package for my niece in June. Photopass downloads come with the AP, so are these pictures part of Photopass? Thanks!

Thank goodness for this thread! So many great tips.

My daughter will be doing the frozen package. This will be her first time and as she will be 7 we thought we had to treat her as we are not sure when we will be going to WdW again ( from uk ). I plan on making a reservation for CRT also and am concerned that when I make the adr that I won't be able to get a reservation for BBB for the same day.

There isn't at frozen package anymore. Or at least there wasn't in December.

If you have an AP you get everything including the pictures if you do the photo shoot at castle couture afterwards.

There's a ton of dresses in Castle Couture and throughout the park. If you didn't bring a dress you could find Anna somewhere else, but it there, and bring it. Or have your daughter go into the store and look at the dresses and pick one from there.

If you're doing Disney Springs they've also got a huge area with all the dresses. See what she likes and tell her to pick one the day before or something.

There wasn't when we went either.

I'm 90% sure it was for a limited time during the parties and hasn't been back.

Awesome! Thanks so much! So excited! My DD, now almost 15, never wanted to do BBB, so I'm excited to treat my niece! :)

We're doing it at MK (at least that's the plan). I'm hoping to get the earliest reservation possible so is Castle Couture open then? And where is that in relation to BBB?

It's right outside the castle. It'd be open when the park opens. You can see it kind of in relation here.

We did BBB at 8am. Then were 2nd in line for Anna and Elsa before the park opened (since they are moving to Epcot. You could pick line up for one of the other sets of princesses). Then we did the castle couture photo shoot and we were done with everything by 9:15. We did lunch at CRT and rode a bunch of rides in between.

The only thing I can find is that it's available at Disneyland.

I don't put a lot of stock into the website. It's wrong a lot. Hopefully it all works out. Maybe just go in with a back up plan.
Soo glad that I posted, otherwise my poor daughter would be expecting to be Made up as Anna. Hopefully I might be able to persuade her to try Cinderella....that's what I wanted her to do in the first place princess:
