Hi all! I'm planning our November trip during which my DD will be celebrating her 5th bday. I'm planning to do BBB at MK on the day of her bday and hoping to get a reservation as early as possible. Does anyone know where I could find the most up to date information, beyond what is shown on Disney's website? I know there they have the packages and prices and everything but I'm more looking to see what dresses are available if you do the Castle package. Also what accessories are included in the Castle Package? If anyone has any recent pictures of the dresses they have there, what the makeup looks like, etc. that would be so great! Do they still let you keep the makeup and nailpolish after and give you a little tote bag? I saw a thread about the BBB but a lot of the information seems to be dated and it doesn't seem to be very active anymore. Has anyone written any report on their experience there recently? Also, there's an imaging package add on- is that just if you want hard copies? Can you still do the photo session and just have them added to memory maker without paying the extra $35? Any inside info would be greatly appreciated!!

We were there last November, and my daughter got to keep the makeup and extra nail polish and face stickers stored in the draw string bag.

Yes, you still get to keep the makeup and nail polish. For dresses, when we were there in January they had the same dresses that were available at Disney Store.com If your trip is in November, you may be able to get a dress on sale around or after Halloween. They had the wands and shoes available, also the same ones for sale through Disney Store. I found fantastic jewelry accessories on sale from Disney Store. they didn't have all the princesses, but each set came in a paper board display book with a necklace, earrings, and hair clips. (I remember they had sets for Belle, Elsa, Anna, Rapunzel, and Cinderella.) The mini-tiaras are part of several BBB packages or you can purchase one from the Princess Boutique across from the Castle. (Sorry I can't remember the name of that shop right now!) The photo session was held in the same shop and yes we were able to add those pictures on to our Memory Maker account for no additional charge.

For the makeup, both girls had pale blue eye shadow, a hint of pink blush, and a shimmer lip gloss. The eye shadow was darker on my older daughter, not sure if because of variations in lots or due to FGIT technique. Not a huge difference, but I noticed in the pictures. Hope this helps!

Its been a few years since I took my first DD but it did include the pictures as part of castle package and I did get to put them on photopass (they gave me number that I linked to photopass like another photopass card). I'm actually taking my 2nd DD in June (she doesn't know it yet) to do the frozen package. Not sure if it includes photos or not so if someone knows, please let me know. I've looked everywhere.

If you want to see videos of dresses, just google Bibbidy disney and look at youtube videos of people doing it. Some really great videos. Also, another site (google all ears disney, not sure if I can link them here?) has a page that goes into detail of what to expect, etc. There are also several reviews out there if you google Bibbidy disney boutique review, etc...

I have many of the same questions as you. I am especially interested in seeing the dress options!! When we went last year (a thought didn't do BBB) the dresses were definitely different that those from the Disney store website. Although they were similar. Anyway, I thought I would answer what I could! We have 2 BBB appointments planned for April 24, so I have been trying to research!!!

Accessories included in the Castle package are just the wand and tiara. Anything else you have to pay extra for.

I have been looking up reviews of BBB but haven't found much that is new. Especially since I am most interested in dresses!!

As for the imaging session....from what I understand, if you get the Castle Package, the hard copies pictures from that are included. If you get a different package, you would need to pay the $35.

Sorry I am not tons of help!!

You do still get to keep the make up and nail polish in the bag. Our DD was so happy about that! Also, the portrait session is included for free if you have Memory Maker. I'd have to go back and count, but between the make over session itself and the portrait session, we had well over 100 photos for the two kids. I think there were around 30 images from the portrait session afterwards.

I can't answer your question about dresses because we brought our own.

Thanks so much for the information everyone! It's nice that you can keep the makeup because I'm sure she'll want me to do her makeup on the days after! Also good to know I don't have to pay the extra $35 to get the pics added to memory maker. I'm not too concerned about having hard copies but I want to have digital copies of the whole thing for sure!

If you want to see videos of dresses, just google Bibbidy disney and look at youtube videos of people doing it. Some really great videos.

Thanks for that tip, I didn't even think to look at youtube!

If you end up having some pictures of the dresses to share after your April trip or any other tips on the experience I'd love some more info from someone who will have done it so recently!

If you're staying on site I would not count on Disney Transportion to get you there. I typically have no problem with using the onsite transportation. But our morning of BBB, we waited forever for a bus, then got stuck at security and had to go through the extra security line. Ugh, we didn't get to take advantage of our early appointment at all. We were running to the castle and only stopped for a brief moment for one picture. I was so upset. Take a taxi if you're staying on property!!!

Ok, good to know! I would have totally just planned on taking the bus. As of right now we are staying at POR so it would either be bus or I guess taxi. This is one morning I wouldn't want to risk running late!

They have been using the same makeup for years. I think we have 10 of the things between all the different places, DL and WDW, we've done make overs.
I will warn, it's really bad makeup. Which is both good and bad I suppose.
It doesn't show up at all, which is good for such little girls but bad when they want makeup to show up.
The nail polish is rather nice though, for a kid polish. We do like it.
And I like the face gems.
DGD is doing it again next week (so her great Grandma can see her get it done) and I'm really curious to see which she picks this time. She's done just about all of them.
Though this will just be her 2nd time to pick a dress there. First time was at DL last summer since there the full package actually gets you something extra, where in WDW it does not.
I prefer to bring our own but she's asked for one of their dresses this time. She's about to outgrow them so I figured, why not

Thank you! I figured the quality wasn't the greatest but I don't think my daughter will know the difference and I like the idea of it not really showing up a whole lot! I did consider just bringing a dress from home or picking one up at the Disney store before we leave but since this is going to be her birthday I really want the full on experience and that way she can pick whichever dress she wants because since this is going to be a surprise I can't ask her which princess she wants ahead of time so I'd be stressing that she wouldn't want the one I picked out! This is going to be my birthday gift to her so we're going all out!

We went last year and the photopass person was taking pictures while she was being made up and this was added to the memory thing.. BEAUTIFUL pictures. I am telling you the memory thing was worth it just for this.. I made a photobook for her for christmas.. was also a great present then
b
my only advice IF your DD is fixed on one princess dress. make sure they have her size. Last year DD herself bursted into tears and almost myself as we saw how this girl burted into tears after being that the Bell dress she wanted was not available at the time in her size.. Poor thing bursted into tears... Normally i think such things are over dramatized, its just a costume, but man I almost lost it too.. poor thing was older, like 1o/11 which made it worse as you knew she herself was planning this and totally looking forward to it. I think alot of the younger girls dont evenn get what is going on, ( more a thing for mommey KWIM?)

So double check first... if this is important.. for us it is not,, but after that experience if the dress is a deal maker, I'd be somehow checking and making sure they have her dress.

How sad. Problem is if it is in stock when you check it's really not possible to assure the dress will remain in stock. I think until you get to the biggest sizes, you are pretty safe about them having your size. They have a large stock in the store and can at times get them from other stores on property. But those larger sizes are different animals for sure. Much more limited.

Aw! Poor thing, I would have been so upset for her too. I didn't really think of that either... Yikes! Now back to being torn about me picking one up ahead of time and risking it not being what she wanted or risking her being upset when we get there because they don't have her size. But as AngiTN said, maybe this is more an issue for bigger sizes. My daughter will be 5 when we're there and would need size 4 or 5 so hopefully we'll be ok. And I think she would probably be alright if she was just told she would have to pick something else if they don't have her size. And if she does get upset I could probably win her over with promise of getting her an extra souvenir or something after. No, I am no above bribery when in Disney to keep my kids happy! :rotfl2:

We were at BBB last month for DD6. It was her 2nd time and she LOVED it. I decided against the Castle package because we didn't need the accessories. I believe the accessories include a tiara, wand, and maybe shoes? Instead, we did the crown package and added a dress (and tshirt). The photo session afterwards was free and we got a TON of awesome pics on photo pass.

The dresses they had were- Ariel- green dress, Belle, Aurora, Elsa, Jasmine, Snow White, Rapunzal, Tiana, and Cinderella. I don't remember seeing Anna or Merida.

After the makeover, the girls get the make up, nail polish, and comb in a little BBB draw string bag to keep.

The whole experience really is awesome and magical for the little girls.

You should be ok and to be honest,, even if a 6/7 is available still get it.. they are so expensive and they grow so fast this way she gets more wear out of it.. This girl was larger and taller. so I think larger sizes might be an issue. or if like 2 yrs ago. I HOPE no mom promised an Elsa dress as they were flying off the shelves... So I think unless you are really big or want a new/ popular princess ( Frozen craziness) you should be ok.

interesting would be to see if the price is the same... package without dress ( you buy your own at the parks before hand ) or castle package with dress.

one other tip check the weather, seriously. though in FL hard to predict.. but it had happen that right when she was done, torrential storm hit and we were stuck in the castle for over 1 hr!! they have little "granny " shower caps but they dont do the job. so we ended up buying for the princess a overpriced poncho and we waited and ran.

Yikes...my 4 year old has her heart set on being Anna. I didn't even consider that they might not have Anna dresses, with Frozen being as popular is it is!?

They didn't have Elsa and Anna dressed in the height of their popularity.

You could always buy one, bring it, and get the lower package.

We were just there this past August. The dresses are the Disney parks dresses you can only get at the parks. (Main Street, etc...). I always get the 60.00 crown (I think) package. I usually buy the dress at the Disney outlet store at home & , bring the dress with us. The photographers walk around and take pictures throughout the process. Yes, you get the pink backpack-ish bag with the nail polish, makeup & face gem stickers. It does not come with any printed pictures but since I get memory maker I just print them through shutterfly at home.

My daughter got tired of the bun so she did the ponytail with the colored extensions twists, it came out just beautiful. We have been to both locations, I like them equally. My daughter likes the one in the castle more.

So if you don't do the castle package and do the crown package you can just buy the dress at normal price at that time? I was thinking of buying a dress a head of time cause I didn't want to do the whole castle package cause we didn't need all the accessories and we don't need the printed photos. It would be awesome if I could pay for the hair and make-up package but she could still pick out a dress there and put it on there if I just pay for the dress and not the whole bigger package.
