We head out on our first cruise in January. Looking at booking packages at the salon for my two kiddos, but my son is not 3 yet, would they still allow him to get the "Knight Package" at the salon? I know he'll be disappointed if his sister will be dressed up, and he's not. Does anyone know if they'd make an age exception?

Typically, if DCL has set an age requirement, it's pretty much set. You certainly could ask once onboard, but I'd suggest that you bring along something for him to dress up in, if you want to be sure he has something.

I agree. In regards to the BBB, I've heard the minimum age of 3 is due to some of the products they use saying they are for ages 3 and up. Are you sure your DS will be upset if his older sister gets made up at the BBB and he doesn't? Quite honestly, I always think the hairstyles and makeup look uncomfortable.

I work at one of the BBB at WDW and the age requirement is for safety reasons. Perhaps see if you can purchase the sword and shield; we will occasionally sell the package materials, but not do the full transformation (hair style).

also, you could purchase a similar sword and shield using the Shop Disney App (free shipping right now!) and have it delivered to you before the sailing.

Then bring some confetti and hair gel and work your own mommy magic!

I will bring him something along to dress up in then in instead, great idea. Thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought anyone could get made over on pirate night. Or do the just remove the maximum age not the minimum at BBB?

This is from my upcoming cruise. It looks like Adults can do theFirst mate or Empress pirate makeover any night. The 1st image is for pirate night the second image is for the following night.

Where are you seeing that? From what you posted, there is nothing that a child under three can get. I don't see anything for "any age", but maybe I'm missing something.

Sorry I worded it badly. Adults are allowed to do the Empress and the First Mate Pirates makeover.

How does one book this? I don't see it in the cruise activities pages

You will need to wait until your booking window opens. It will be 75 days prior to your cruise for a 1st time cruiser.
Then once you put in all your information...

Go to My cruise activities

In WDW, BBB has age limit for princess transformation (3-12) but all ages over 3 are welcome do do pirate transformations at Pirate League.
