I love the Big Bang Theory and tonight's episode had the ladies ditching working and going to Disneyland. They all got princess makeovers.

While Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique wasn't mentioned in the episode, it's clear it was where they went.

Now I know it's just a tv show, but it got me wondering. Is the Disneyland Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (if there is one, I'm not sure) open for adults? And what is the age limit for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiques in WDW?

I tried to look the wdwinfo part of this site and it just said ages 3 and up and I can't remember what it is.

I believe the upper limit is 12yo at WDW.

That's what I thought. I'm taking my daughter for our trip but she's only four and I never had a desire for a princess makeover.

The question was inspired by a FB conversation - my friend was surprised to hear that BBB was kids only now.

I thought the age limit was only for wearing the dresses not for getting the makeover itself.

According to the Disneyland official website, the age policies are the same at both parks: 3-12 yrs of age.

But I did love that segment of the show tonight. LOVED the way Bernadette looked as Cinderella.

Miss Mayim "Amy" looked like Belle in a Snow White costume.

I could imagine Miss Kaley "Penny" as Aurora and Miss Melissa "Bernadette" as Cinderella.princess:

I love the Big Bang Theory but didn't really like this episode until the very end when the guys reacted to the girls in their respective costumes (and Bernadette sticking up for herself on wanting to be Cinderella.)

Interesting, because I've seen many adults get BBB makeovers. Adults can't wear costumes unless it's a Halloween party, but I've never heard of them enforcing an age limit on BBB. At The Pirates League, adults are encouraged to participate. :confused3

I believe the policy change excluding adults happened some time early last year. There were several threads on the subject at the time.

Great episode :happytv:

Does anyone else think this ep was sponsored a little by Disney? Or they had to pay for the rights or some sort of agreement.

an appointment for my daughter last month in the MK. They asked her age and cited the 3-12 years old rule. She is still comfortably in that range

They did indeed start enforcement of the age limit last year. And yes, they are very firm about it. This is at both DLR and WDW.

Disney gets a lot of coverage on that show. Remember the one where Penny takes Sheldon to DL and he gets sick from the churros?

for a large, well known company. For a number of years the company was referenced on a top rated show. I asked a friend who is a VP in Marketing what we paid for the exposure. We paid nothing. The producers wanted to use our name and we agreed to allow it at no cost. Free advertising.

Besides whats been posted, there are sort of grey issues here. The first being that those Disney Princess's stories are in the public domain so they have no rights to the names of the princesses. So all you have is them doing is using the name "Disneyland" which is a popular entertainment destination and the dresses. Though I maybe wrong, for some reason I don't think you can copyright, trademark or what ever a dress design. Hence all the knockoffs the day after the Oscars.

There is also the right of parody. But I think in this case its more of when you have as much exposure as Disney has, you have to expect some jokes about the world they create. I just hope Disney thought it was just as funny as we did.

I'm now wondering if someone is going to post a Goof on IMDB.com that one there is an age limit at BBB, and two, even though I know Bernadette is petite, that they don't have adult sized dresses.

Interesting. I was surprised as well that Disney let them do that much last night, since CBS competes with ABC, aka The Mouse Network. But yes, a great episode, one of the better ones from this season. And I adore Bernadette.

No goof at all. It was just a fun show with the three ladies dressing up as princesses. Since it wasn't ABC, why would anyone think that was accurate information about DL? Funnier still was the mention of getting drunk in DL.
