Has anyone done preopening BBB? If you make a reservation at 8 am, and finish before 9 am, do you get to continue to the back of the castle and get in line for Fantasyland rides with the preopening BoG crowd?

1. Anyone has.
2. Yes.
BTW, BBB at MK is already located at "the back of the castle."

Yeah I knew it was in the back of the castle, but I had read somewhere that you still get ushered back to the front to wait with the rope drop crowd and can't go back towards Fantasyland.

Unless you're getting a Knight's Package, I would assume that even an 8:00am PPO won't really get you out very early, FYI. There are a few magical steps before, during, and after your child's transformation in the actual salon chair. :-)
Enjoy the beautiful, relatively empty walk to the boutique. Some of the loveliest shots from our trip are the ones my husband took of the castle and its surroundings with zero humans in them, and some of my favorite shots are the wide ones I took of my kids walking through part of Fantasyland with no one else in the shot.

Good to know. Is it difficult to get shots with no one else in the picture? I'd imagine other PPO guests are walking around. Is Photopass available at that time? Last question - how often will the opening times be changed to earlier rendering the PPO without benefit (i.e., changing opening time from 9 to 8)?

1) We had no issues getting shots without others, but we weren't trying for the classic directly in front of the castle. There was no one but some ducks on the path around the left side of the castle we were directed to take. We had an 8:30am appt, so I felt like we entered the park around 8:20am a bit after a rush of people going to Crystal Palace, BOG, and BBB might have come through right at 7:45-8am.
2) We saw no Photopass, but we were also focused on getting into the salon so we could be out sooner. There very well might have been. We had visited DHS before going to MK to grab passes for RotR, and we definitely were not in a laid-back mode.
3) The last point is that things can be very different day to day. Our morning was NOT an EMM morning. If it had been, there definitely would have been Photopass out, but also more people circulating. Same if had been an EMH morning. It was January 2, so a busy day on a holiday week, but not the actual holiday. The busier the time of year you are going, the greater the chance that hours will change. Past calendars and current can give you a hint at likely EMH days and if it's a time of year where you get 8am openings.
GL!

BBB is not something you want to rush, IMO. The entire experience is awesome and I personally had a blast watching our little one interact with her Fairy Godmother in training, get all dolled up, and truly be pampered. Kids are forced to grow up so fast and people spend time rushing around Disney to always get to “the next thing” (I’m probably the guiltiest of all). Have fun while your little one gets all sparkles up!

What's the age range for BBB? I have a 7 y/o DD who would love it, but by the time we get there she'd be like 8, maybe 9.

This was our experience in Dec 2019. My daughter had an 8am appt with the park opening at 9. We brought a costume from home, so she was already dressed. At BBB check in, we picked our updo and meet the fairy godmother. You interact with magic mirror and are eventually escorted to the salon area. Hair, make up and nails. Photopass was there taking pics of the process. When finished, we headed directly across to the store for the photo session. Photopass with generic background, but beautiful pics of our princess. Literally no one was there. Tons of pics before starting our day and her hair getting messed. (which it really doesn't because of all the hairspray and gel!). Then headed towards Mine Train. Got in line with BOG people along the fence. At 9am we were all led up the fast pass line. We never felt rushed or like we shortened our BBB experience in any way. The timing worked perfectly for us.

Thank you for the feedback!

Did you stop for pictures before you got to BBB? Did you get to BBB exactly at 8 and when were you in line for 7DMT? How quickly were you iff 7DMT? Sorry for all the questions. I'm trying to time our plans for after the first ride

We did not stop for pics before BBB. They start checking reservations by Sleepy Hollow right around 8am, so we went straight to BBB. I would say we were in line by BOG around 8:50. Once the fireworks from the stage show go off, they let BOG up the FP line. Maybe a 5min wait, so off 7DMT by 9:15

Awesome....I'm excited to try this out. Hopefully we don't have to cancel this year due to closings!

Not worth a new thread but FYI BBB now can be booked online. Up until recently you had to call but now you can do an online reservation like ADRs.

Some teething problems initially when I tried to book but after a few days was fine and immediately on MDE.
