My sister goes to disney a month after me with my parents and niece.

I hope she gets a good time. Does she know there is one in DTD as well as the MK one? Good to know as it gives more options. :)

Yes she knows but i think its more special in the castle :) when my daughter did this 3 years ago she loved being inside the castle and feeling like a real princess, i am not sure if she would have had the same effect at the one at DTD?

totally agree, my dd had it done in the castle last time, but for our next trip we couldn't get a good time in the castle so we're going to DTD but I am keeping checking for cancellations as think the castle is more magical

Hi there,

We are here at WDW at the moment and both my daughters went to the BBB a few days ago in the castle. I was REALLY disappointed with it this time compared with when they went 18 months ago.

They had earnt their spending money for the trip each day throughout the summer holidays for the trip, saving really hard and had decided to spend most of it at the BBB. They were so excited but it was over in a flash....MUCH quicker than a few years ago when the fairy godmother did everything. Now (so that they can get one in one out so quickly and earn more money) they have one doing the hair and one doing the make-up. As a result they end up chatting away amongst themselves instead of talking to the little girls which I felt was wrong.

My daughter came away looking like Aunt Sally...terrible make up!!! I had to ask someone to take most of it off, so she didn't look like she was attending the halloween party later that day!

For $118, I expected more than 20 minutes with no interaction with my children. Poor little things were so so disappointed and wished they had spent their money on something else!!

That's so sad. I would be gutted. Do you think it was a one off or did it seem like things had changed? I was going to book my DD, but decided to do my own BBB makeover on her. I have read lots of positive reviews as well as those who are disappointed and it wasn't down to that, but for me just a case of ANOTHER $60 for something I could do myself for $10. I am using the money to get her a costume for thre MNSSHP instead. While you are there you should go and complain about it - if you have pictures, take them with you (or your camera so the CM can see). I am sure they will offer them a re-do so at least your girls will feel that they had another chance with their hard earned money. I know how it feels to be disappointed on their behalf - my DD also saves her money for Disney.

Aside from that, I hope you are having a super time! :yay:

oh janeyb that is awful.

My DD did this last year and loved it - couldn't fault the attention she was given.

She is booked in for a revisit this time - hope it doesn't disappoint.
