I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time trying to decide what time of day to book this appointment! I don't want to do it first thing, as I want to make the most of the rides in the morning. I don't want to do it right at lunch time because we need to eat. And then I think what if we want to go back to the hotel for a swim mid day - shouldn't I wait and do it after swimming? So we don't ruin hair, etc? But then I don't want to wait too late into the day where she won't have enough time to enjoy being a Princess! Help!

We decided to make our appointment first thing. I wanted my daughter to be able to enjoy her "transformation" all day. We are going to BBB at 9:00 then will later have lunch at Ariel's Grotto. From what I hear, those do's have enough gel and spray that they stay up through swimming and sleeping!

Have fun!

She wants to hair piece one - with the different colored curl things hanging? :lmao: Not sure how that would hold up in a pool.....

Do you know how long the appointments usually take?

Yeah, my daughter wants one with extensions too, but it's just the one that fits over the bun, so we should be able to take it out to swim, if we even do swim that day. The CM I talked to said it should take around 20-30 min. We're getting the crown package...hair, makeup and nails. I saw a thread on here, a little girl got the basic princess do and they had pics of her after swimming and sleeping all night and her hair was still the same the next day! Wow! Personally I'm dreading taking it all down and washing out the glitter and goo :sad2:

Ok so I have just decided we are going to do Ariel's Grotto for lunch after her BBB appointment. If she is getting a dress as well as hair and nails, how long should I give? Anyone? lol

I can only tell you what we did. We had a 9am appt but didn't get in there until 9:30 for a variety of reasons. My dd is just 3 so it was slow. It took about an hour for her to go thru the process of dress, makeup, hair. We also did the pix which took awhile as there was some one ahead of us and then we had to wait for them to be printed. So probably an hour and a half. We had a ressie at ariel's for like 11:45 which gave us plenty of time to a quick meet and greet with 2 princesses who were standing outside the castle (dd eyed them so we couldn't just keep walking), take some pix of dd all done up in front of the castle and the walt statue then make the walk back down main street, into CA and all the way back to the grotto. We arrived right at 11:45. So there you go.

If I had to do it again I'd allow the same amount of time... about 2 hrs. If your dd is older it will probably go faster. We also had a potty break in there somewhere and dd was so thrilled with her appearance that she wanted to walk and twirl on our way to lunch so that took time as well. It was nice not to feel pressed for time.

Have fun! My dd loved BBB, just loved it!

We are doing BBB at 10:00 (w/ MM being 8-9), followed by Lunch at Ariels at 1:00...my cousin went in the summer, and she said same as above, that it takes about 2 hours if you do pics (maybe 2 1/2 if they are busy), and I know my girl is definitely the stop and twirl type, lol...so I gave us extra time to work our way through the parks...

LoveMyBeautifulGift - I did my appointment for BBB at 10:30 and then Ariels for 1pm. So maybe I'll see you?!

We did ours after lunch, but I will tell you that right after dinner it all came out due to screaming headaches from too-tight hair! It was just overkill for my girls, and very painful. I couldn't imagine them sleeping in it, because I would have felt so sorry for them.

:rotfl: True enough! I was all excited and getting ready to pm you my cell number to meet up :rotfl2:
