Ugh, I just found out that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is booked up on the day that we have CRT booked.

Any alternative shops or other areas we can go to as an alternative?

Pirates League does a mermaid makeover.

Did you check the one at Disney Springs? Not as convenient, but they don't book up as fast. And yes, there's the Mermaid Makeover and there's also the Barbershop where she can get some type of pixie dust ponytail.

We did this in November. Pretty sure the price was what the article says- $90 for the whole makeover. If I would do it again, we would just do the hair do package which includes glitter and a tiara for $50. The hair do was definitely worth that price but I could do their makeup and nails for the $40 difference.

The Ivy Trellis is a real hair salon that offers other services like hair cuts too. The hairdressers can do different styles not just the tight bun like you get at BBB. My youngest had an elaborate braided bun that was gorgeous. For my oldest, she did the sides up and curled the back. They got tons of compliments. I'll try to find a picture and post it.

I've heard of people doing their own BBB style makeover. Not the same thing, I know. But as a last resort...

When are you going? I am getting ready to cancel a BBB in Disney Springs, I called today and was able to get into the Castle

OOOH, those Ivy Trellis hairstyles are beautiful!!! So much better than the BBB hairstyles. I would book Ivy Trellis, but then call every day to see if you can get her into the BBB at MK, assuming that the Princess treatment is a priority. If Disney Springs opens up, just realize that is a huge time investment on an MK day. You could lose about 3 hours of MK time, by the time you wait a bus to DTD from a resort (can't get one from the park), travel the distance to DS (usually 20 to 25 minutes from the MK area resorts), do BBB, then wait for a bus to take you back to an MK area resort so that you can then get transport from the resort to MK (or walk if you go to the Contemporary).
