I was talking with a CM on the phone, going to book a BBB session for DD and they told me the cheapest package was $45:scared1:
My DSis took my niece back in April and I know they didnt pay that. She just got her nails and hair maybe? Has anyone gone and done a cheaper package than $45??? I wanted to call back and have this info. handy if it is true. Maybe they have just gone up and dont offer a cheaper thing now. I tried using the search, but as usual I cant get anything to come up. Anyone know?

Here you go! Prices start at 44.95

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
For all those little girls dreaming of being a Disney Princess, this latest addition to the World of Disney is the perfect fit. More of a salon than a store, there are 10 salon stations where girls can get their hair, nails and makeup done.

Starting on 9/10/07, a second Boutique is scheduled to open in the Magic Kingdom.

Reservations are strongly recommended. The number to call is: 407-WDW-STYLE.

Package Prices:

COACH: Hair style and shimmering makeup - $44.95 plus tax
CROWN: Hair style, shimmering makeup and nails - $49.95 plus tax
CASTLE: Hair style, shimmering makeup and nails plus full Princess costume with accessories and photo package (one 6x8 and four 4x6 pix) - starting at $179.95 plus tax
COOL DUDE: Hair style, colored gels and a Mickey stencil - $10 (no tax)

I found this description of the cool dude package on AllEars.net
COOL DUDE: includes Hair Style, Colored Gels/Sparkles, Mickey Stencil: $10.00 (no tax on this service)Does anyone know if this is just for boys? I could do $10 much easier than $45!

DD went several years ago and it was $45.00 for nails and hair (nails were extra and the artifical nails were too small, they came off in a few hours). It takes quite a while and she had a blast!

It's certainly not cheap, especially when you add tax!

In April of 07 it WAS less for the basic hair and makeup package (COACH). It was $34.95 + tax. DD had it done in Feb and that is what we paid.

When the MK boutique opened in September, the price for all the packages went up. :goodvibes

Is it kinda crazy that the Castle package sounds so cool that my 20yo self wants it too?? :lmao:

I took my girls to the barber shop in MK on main street. It cost 7.50 for an updo with colored gel and lots of pixie dust sprinkled on. They got all kinds of compliments and I thought it looked cooler than the BBB do's. It only cost me 22.50 for all 3 girls. You could get sparkly nailpolish to do yourself and if you really want a crown you could buy one at the dollar store before you go and have them put it in.

The price for the basic package went up in september of 2007 with opening of the MK location. The coach package was 35, the crown package was 45, and the castle package was 175. The expirence is really great my dd has loved the two times that she has already gone and is so ready for when she goes back next month while we are there. If you want more info or have more question or just want to see pics checkout the link in my sig and you can see some really great pics that others and myself have posted from their expirence.

PrincessMom98~ you can do the MK barbershop cool dude but I don't think they will do it at BBB. This has been discussed on the thread in my sig but I don't remember what the answer was.

There are two to three fairy godmothers in training on this thread as well and are more than happy to answer any question or concern you might have. On another note if you chose not to go to BBB the gift shops do sell the crowns, mickey barrettes, and the hair pieces that they use at BBB.

Thanks for the postings. That is what I figured- it must have gone up because I know my Sis didnt pay that much. Just my luck!! Maybe we will check into the Barber Shop. My DH and DS did that a few years back, but didnt think of it for my DD.

I think it was discussed that they don't do the updo for $5 or $7 anymore at the Barber Shop (probably since the new BBB opened).

BUT: We had one done for DD in Feb, however, we had her hair trimmed too. So it was $14 for the haircut and then they styled it by putting it into a bun and adding some pixie dust without us even asking. I skipped the paint because I didn't want to wear it. :rotfl:

So while just the updo may not be available, I would ask about having a cut done, then an updo. DD loved it. She called it her Tinkerbell hair.

do they have a boutique at mk? I dread the thought of going to downtown disney!!! Too busy and loud there! DD wants to have her hair done and nails next year for our trip.. then I suppose we need to book the princess tea thing. agrhhh the cost just keeps adding! LOL

Yes, it's in Cinderella's Castle. Just opened in the fall I think.

Great questions and answers.

We are going in 2 weeks and I have both daughters 5yo/14yo booked for BBB twice. (first and last day).

I have the youngest booked for the Castle makeover on the first day. I'm wondering if I should just change it to the Crown make over. Can you add the photos to the package? I guess all I really want is a photo of them with the BBB insignia on it. (Looks cute)..

For cost effectiveness I could always just buy a gown & crown on Ebay. My thoughts are that the wand and shoes are nice but the reality of her walking through MK holding the wand and in the shoes all day is slim to none.

Any thoughts? Is the Castle pkg really worth it? Is there a place where I can see the current gown selection? Are they just the deluxe gowns found in the Disney Stores around halloween?

Ahhh. so much to think about....;)

Thanks!!

The castle package is def. a BIG expense but it was worth it.. the pics they take are amazing. They add it to your photopass so you can buy the CD and print up all of the pics :)

The selection of dresses are different than the ones in the disney store. When I went this past nov. I saw they added to the selection... they had a BEAUTIFUL alice in wonderland dress as well as an adorable minnie dress. The cost of the dress alone is about $60-75.....

My DD missed out on the BBB this past nov (we did it nov 2006) b/c she spiked a fever of 103 that morning.. guess I saved $200..:sad1:

we have done all the packages and dd loved everyone! :) the castle package was her fave! she felt like a princess :) the dress selection is pretty much the exclusive dresses you get at disney! dd played with hers for about a year before it became to small :)

i have seen some of the updo's around disney! they seem to be more unique :)

Just a tip. Even if you DON'T do the castle package, you can get a photo shoot done. Just go to the photo location.

They will add those pictures to your photopass. And you can buy just one 5x7 or 8x10 right there if you want one.

We have always done the coach package and had pics done and put on our pass.

They even did pics of DD with her little brother at MK for us in October. :goodvibes

The dresses are very nice, but we bought DD the Ariel wedding dress at World of Disney (we get 10% off with our APs) for $60, the coach package for $45, she made a wand at the little station there for $16 I think. We then went over to the photo shoot and had pics done. They added it to our CD and I bought one 8X10 for $20 for my mom (although I could have waited for the CD and had one made at Walmart MUCH cheaper). So our total was less than $150. DD would not wear the nails anyway, and the shoes seem uncomfortable, so we bought her the glitter covered, rubber soled Mary Jane-type shoes from Target in silver for like $9 on sale prior to going.

Now she has a wand and shoes if she goes in the future.
