Who is going to the stores? Shopping online? Other plans? What are you buying?

We usually go but I really don't plan to go many places at any point this season. Traditionally we at least go to Target and walk around with Starbucks. My daughter and I may do that it it's not too crowded.

If anyone loves finds deals or knows of any, I'm looking for a Ninja Foodi and some food storage containers-the type for rice, etc. So far, I found Target has a Foodi for $99 starting tomorrow. I miss BF Ads, the others are not quite as easy to search.

I'm getting my oil changed because they've reduced their hours/days open and it's the only time I can go. Also not going out for a few different reasons. But I also looked at the ads and it seems a lot of stuff starts tomorrow and that a lot of places aren't having anything set specific to Friday, which I think is good and actually hope is successful enough that it continues after this.

I am working! WIll try to look for deals online before leaving for work. Looking for a nordic track elliptical. Anyone know of any deals?
Of course will order from Basin /Basin White

We buy very few presents. So most of that is done. We are most likely staying home on Friday.

Never was big on the large/unruly crowds associated with many of the prior Black Friday events. With covid still a major concern, sure don't plan to be any part of large crowds shopping. Will probably buy most gifts online this year. Over the years, Black Friday has expanded from a 'one day' sale to several days both before and after Thanksgiving.

Rumor has it Home Depot will going to have a new ad on Thursday, even though they've released most of their ad and items early this year to keep down crowds. I'm hoping the ad will include their traditional $1 poinsettias - if it does, I will be masked and waiting in the hopefully socially distanced line at opening, or doing whatever else they've setup to manage the crowd.

Other than that, my shopping is done, so I'll be home decorating and wrapping more presents. Normally we'd go get our tree early in the afternoon, but DD20 is working so we are going to hold off until Saturday to do that.

You can find the ad online already. I can't remember the price but both HD and Lowe's have them in their ad's for Thursday. I looked at them on Friday. I don't remember the site, it was one I found through google. But they had a lot of the ads. Though I've also noticed a lot of stores now put out their ad previews themselves as well.

I will go out for a couple hours to keep from breaking my tradition since 1987. I will stop for coffee then head to stores by 5am. I will avoid "lining up" anywhere. I will be mostly browsing and window shopping. I may possibly be in search of one or two items on special at Walmart and/or Target. Even before Covid, most people shop online and the stores would be a ghost town by 9am. I anticipate a very low crowd volume from the start, but I could be wrong. Traditionally, I go over to the mall around noon. This year, I will go to the mall earlier. If the crowd volume remains low, I may roam around a little and enjoy the holiday atmosphere.

The only Home Depot ad I've been able to find is the 36ish page one they put out the end of October that has most of their "Black Friday" deals. But that had no poinsettia or live, cut tree info - my guess is because those prices have been good for weeks now, and they don't start selling the trees until Black Friday.

But maybe something leaked on Friday - they are pretty aggressive with Cease and Desists on ad leaks, and most sites get hit with one within hours of posting their ads and end up taking them down again. A Home Depot employee said on one message board they will release one on Thursday.

I'm not a fan of Lowe's poinsettias, so I'm really hoping for the Home Depot ones.

That's how we typically shop and we enjoy the atmosphere too. When the stores opened at 4am, we'd go at 9 and it would be mostly empty. If the parking lot is crowded this year, I'll just drive home.

I will be shopping online like usual. I'm hoping for some happiness from Lego, LL Bean, and Plow & Hearth. Looking for a deal on a fire back. I jump online early because we always go cut our tree down on Black Friday. It's the first day of the cutting season and we want the best pick!

Use code THANKS15 at LLBean online to save 15%. Good until Tuesday, December 1.

I will likely shop in store like I have every year since I was probably 5 years old. In the past 10 years though we don't go out right away. We go out maybe 9am and we also go to a smaller town about an hour away that doesn't have a mall but it has all the big box stores so it is less crowded then the larger city I live in with a mall.
