Beware Trails End

Per the FDA website, depending on the organism it can take from 1 hour to 50 days for the onset after ingesting.

The fact that it could happen and that it happened to our family before is enough to throw caution to the wind.

Will it keep us from eating there, no. Can it happen anywhere, yes. Do I appreciate the OP for posting, yes.

But--unless there is a confirming test there is no way to call it Food Poisoning.

Could have gotten ill from any # of other sources not at all caused by Trails End.

Believe me--if any case of confirmed food poisoning occurs at WDW , the local papers and TV reporters will be all over it.

And why would a restaurant report an illness that they know nothing about? OR Disney either??

If I call Ruby Tuesday today and report that I am sick today and I ate there last night, what could they do??

Or if I called Cracker Barrel and claimed I got food poisoning from the Sawmill Gravy (which probably hundreds of others ate that day).. What could they do??

Most large businesses have a working relationship with local authorities and they employ PR people to help control negative press.
With millions of people visiting Disney annually, ever wonder why there are so few issues reported?

Because there are so few actual, confirmed cases of food poisoning that there is nothing to report?

In fact, when there were confirmed cases with a tour at AK it was reported on. However, note the "confirmed" and the pluralization oc "cases". Why would any press waste their time with "One random person who did not even go to the hospital and be tested is claiming food poisoning."?

Once food poisoning is confirmed it is then reported to the health department. Trust me, a huge investigation will then follow. This can not be hidden from the media and they LOVE anything negative about large corporations.

Having had actual, confirmed, in the er food poisoning myself, i find it irresponsible to publically claim that you got food poisoning somewhere with no proof.
