I reserved a room for our first night at the Dolphin. Me, DSIL, DD8, DN7, DN2. They told me Dolphin had better promotion rates avail. Asked for info on who in room and even offered me a crib. I read a post that S/D offers AP rates so I called to see if I could get a lower rate.

Turns out I was booked in a room for 4 and I was told I would be refused checkin if we had all come to the counter! The "party of five room" is an additional $50. I was very disappointed. After two managers and supposed pulling of my phone log, I was called back and had my room upgraded without the additional charge. I wonder what would have really happened at checkin

Just a word of caution

Isn't a 2 yo considered an infant, and, thus, not counted???

At the Disney resorts, a infant under 3 isn't counted.

The Dolphin and Swan aren't owned by Disney. Might be the difference.

It never hurts to double check everything.

We're booked at the Dolphin with the AAA rate. We originally had 5 people in our room (me, DH, DSs 11 & 8, and DSD 8). We have a standard view room, but had to pay $25 extra per night for a roll-away bed. DSD has since decided not to stay with us, so I had roll-away bed removed from my reservation. Was the $50 per night or a one time deal?

I was told everyone is a person....no such thing as a baby.

There are suppose rooms for 4 and rooms for 5 due to firecodes. It is$50 per night for the larger room.
