It was nice to get a picture of us RN’s especially because it was Nurse week!
My pancakes were so delicious and one of our table mates ordered sausage and bacon for the table to share and it was not the usual Disney breakfast meats, it was so good!!

LOVE. Tea was so wonderful, I hope Andi will go with you!

I just read on here, if you don’t like finger sandwiches you can substitute cheese and fruit platter so I think I may get her there! She does love tea!

Boy! Am I behind, but Happy Mother's Day, Caroline!

Thank you and Happy Belated Mother’s Day to you!! It was so nice to have Andi home for a couple days!

I'm sure! We would have loved to have her there, I'm guessing the timing wasn't great for school?

Yes school goes until this Friday for Andi and it isn’t the same as high school where she could miss a few days!

Yes, I am a fishing widow on Mother’s Day, stupid Minnesota has opening fishing weekend always the second weekend in May! I’m use to it, he does come home early on Sunday to spend the evening with me, so I forgive him haha! I always tell people we have been married almost 30 years because we vacation separately

I'm actually sad I didn't do this with you guys. I'll have to go back and see what I did instead

I recommend this party, I think if my sister comes with next winter, her and I will do this!
It was really fun to spend the VIP day with you!!

Love your Lilo dress for Ohana! Too bad about the meats not being up to par this time. How did you like the new salad?

Thank you, it is really comfortable and I think I will wear it this August, we have an Ohana breakfast! I loved the salad, it was delicious!

Hello Everyone

I am finally getting my August plans in order and wanted to share my tentative days with you!

8/16. We arrive around 5pm, I have us staying at Portofino Bay this night. I got a really good AP rate, better than RPR and HR. This will be our first time staying here. It is only for the one night. We will grab our EP and spend a couple hours in US, the parks are open until 9pm. Harry Potter World here we come!!

We will go into DA to ride Gringotts then take the awesome Hogwarts Express to Hagrid’s new ride and FJ.

We will need to eat something along the way. I am thinking of trying Sal’s pizza at Portofino. It comes highly recommended by @schumigirl! Carole writes awesome TR’s about her Universal/Orlando trip’s and she has so many wonderful restaurant recommendations! Check out her reports!

we will settle in for the night at our resort!

The new Dis format is a little wonky for me! I will stop here and add the next several day plans soon!

Thank you for the lovely shout out...…..and yes, Sal`s Pizza at PB is amazing...….we actually didn't make it this past trip and it`s the one place Tom regrets us not visiting......pizza is so good!!!!

Having not been to US yet I can't add a lot. I am pretty sure I'll get to go in September for my first time, and am just now starting to research it all.

My format is a skinny box to type in, I don’t like it! I will have to get use to it. I use an IPad and it is not better for this mobile device!

USO is a fun place, we love HP and the HP world is done so right! We can usually do everything we want to there in a day! All the HP rides are awesome, we also love Spider-Man, The Mummy, King Kong, and the Minions! If you have questions about it just ask, we have been many times.
Of course, the Universal info on the boards is a wealth of information!

Ahh Thanks! We got the special ticket promo for this summer and using an AP rate (thanks to these boards and Lesley) we got a decent rate for one night at Portofino. We try to go to USO at least once every 1-2 years!

The Dis format, yuck!! My post area is a skinny box and it is hard to put pictures in it and my keyboard on my IPad takes up half the space as well. I am not a fan either. I wanted to add more info about our start of the trip but it was excruciatingly painful and I had to stop!!

I love all your restaurant reviews and I have learned so much from them. I know you aren’t a fan of staying at Portofino but do love Sals! Our cost for the 1 night was really good so I thought we would try it. I’m thinking we will have the pizza either before we head into the lark for a few hours or when we come back!

The next day I am trying to figure out a lunch option for us! We do love Cowfish, remind me of the one place in Islands that you like, is it Confisco?? Do they have vegetarian options? I will have to check. I have to go back and check if you have updated your TR for the May trip

Okay let’s try this over, I was having a heck of a time posting last evening with the Dis update!



Our August trip is from 8/16-8/26, 10 nights in Florida, yay!! I attempted to give you a little info about the first night. We will really try to focus on HP attractions for a few hours the first night.







8/17. We will spend the day at Universal. I haven’t decided if we will get up early enough for the extra hour starting at 8am for the resort guests. We will start in Islands if we don’t do the 8am entry at Harry Potter World. I want to do Spider-Man, the Velociraptor encounter, JP, Skull Island, FJ again and then head over to US via Hogwarts Express, I love this train!!














We will hit up DA and Gringotts, MIB, The Mummy, ET, and the Minions. Andi will want to go on Rip Ride Rocket. Ahh big no thanks from me on that one, have you seen the climb on that thing. I would pass out!




Lunch will be on Citywalk, I think! We will finish up some favorite things, and get some delicious donuts from Voodoo Donuts to take with us. We will gather our luggage from concierge, call a Lyft and head to the Yacht Club!! This will be our home for the next 4 nights!

I think DH and I are going to attempt to do some Universal in March 2020 before our cruise. Definitely seems like the best way to do it is to get the express passes from one of their top resorts!!
