PLease help me with travel advice!1
We are trying to book air from either Boston or Providence to MCO on either April 12th (after 3 pm) or April 13th (am) until April 20th or 21st. We are being flexible. Have spent much time on line and on phone with American, US air, and Delta to find flights. MANY are sold out, particularly non-stop, direct flights (important for us with 3 kids!!
) Got nowhere with American or Delta. High prices, no direct flights only long layovers, into Jacksonville, etc. With US Air, I got great flights (out of Boston 4:45 pm direct to FL at 7:51 pm on April 12th) and return April 21st (9:55 am direct, into Boston 1:00 pm). Not bad, right? However (aren't there ALWAYS howevers on this type of post!!!!) it had to be a package, so we booked a car (with Alamo, standard . . . not ON Airport property!!). Total for 5 people (air, taxes, insurance (?!) and car (all fees except add. insurance and gas) - $1604. This IS much better than any other airline that I tried, but more than we usually pay (usually $200, but in Feb. or March, we have never gone in April before. It is Spring break for schools in the NOrtheast & it sounds like EVERYONE is going to visit Mickey!) Wanted to ask your expertise before I fork over that kind of $$. Honest opinion. I don't want to rush, but want to get good flights & resonable price. Respond or email me at kemmett@gis.net Thanks!!!!!!!
