Beverage coolers in staterooms,Pics?

Does anyone have pics of the "beverage coolers" in the staterooms?
Does anyone know the size?
Are they electric? Or do they use ice?
Curious minds want to know!

I don't have a pic of them but they are about the size of a dorm fridge. they are actually more of an electric cooler than a fridge. It takes about 24 hours for things at room temp to cool down but once cool they stay cool. They do not have a compressor so that is why they are not considered a fridge.

They don't use ice.

I was able to stand up a bottle of Santa Marghrita (sp) wine and several soda cans. They used to be mini-bars but they didn't go over too well so they took all the product out of them.

The are under the dresser and you need to open the cabinet door and then the door to the fridge.

On the Magic...

since the drydock last fall, they ARE only coolers.

If you put in room temp. drinks they will stay room temp. If you put in cool/cold things (including the ice bucket) they will stay cool a long time.

I called Guest services about it in November to tell them my "fridge" wasn't cooling (as it had in Feb.) and they informed me of the change.

All I know is that in cabin 5150 two weeks ago on the Magic's 2/7/04 sailing we put in warm soda and wine and within 24 hours they were cool!!!

Maybe she did not mean coolers in the since that you have to put ice in them.....but rather they keep things cool, not cold.

I could be wrong, but I am just going by what I personally experiened 2 weeks ago on the Magic!!!

I was on the Magic in January, and the coolers do actually cool the drinks. We had a case of bottled water that was kept at room temperature, we put some in the cooler and the next day they were cold.
