My whole family is planning a trip to WDW in 2003. We need help. When is the better time to go to WDW? Second week in September or Third week in November? What is the weather like but more importantly how are the crowds. Thanks to all who respond and I will let you know when we go!!!

September would be slightly better. Warmer weather and minimal crowds as school is just back in session.

However, in November there is the FOod & Wine Fest at Epcot and that is a fun event to go to. The third week in November won't be as busy as the following week (week of Thanksgiving).

Either one will be good for crowds. September will be better, but expect more heat and humidity as well as a chance that a hurricane may hit. This doesn't majorly impact the parks, but if a hurricane crosses Florida, you can expect a lot of rain.

November will still be mild, Hurricane season ends Nov 1., but you may have slightly higher crowds, but still be on the lighter end of attendance.

I'm not a regular visitor during either of those time periods, but I have been at least once during September and late November. Given a choice, it would take a great deal to get me to go back during September. Perhaps it was just that particular year, but the humidity was so high I truly found it difficult to breathe. It was simply too hot and humid for my liking, and quite uncomfortable.

I was just there in late November of this year and found it to be very comfortable. It was warmer than I'd expected and the crowds were low. All in all, a very pleasant time of year and certainly a month I would recommend to a friend.

3rd week of Nov ashoudl be great! Low crowds-great weather. I live in FL and Sept is still hurricane season- I wouldn't take the chance. You may have your whole trip planned for months, only to have a hurricane drop in....

I went this last Sept. The Down Town Disney Marriott was running a special for $20 a night. (They have done this for 2 years in a row that I know of. I hope they offer it again in the fall of 2003.) Crowds were low and we did get some rain, but it wasn't too bad. The closer to Thanksgiving you get, the bigger the crowds.

Watch for big discounts on hotels or transportation and go then.

Both are wonderful times to go. Good Luck!

We went this past September the 3 rd week and it was busy but we did not wait for anything. But it was very hot and humid it just wore us out. We went the 2 week in sept. 2 years ago and it was hot and we had a hurricane so lots of rain but his kept the crowds away. Given the choice I would try November for the cooler weather and take the chance of a few more crowds.

We've done both Sept. & Nov. & my vote is for Nov. Our Sept. trip almost got cancelled by Hurricane Floyd...it took 4 hours on the phone to re-schedule flights & yes it was hot & humid. When we've been in November, temps were wonderful (70-80) & very little rain.
