Better than Visa Magic Code?

Even though you are an executive member, if you select anything smaller than a full size, it will show Emerald Reserve. Only full size or larger are on the executive aisle.

i am emerald executive member. i just made a reservation. the level of service says "EMERALD RESERVE". if i found a car on the executive or emerald aisle area that i like better, can i choose that car or must i choose from the area that i have reserved from? thanks.

I am also an Emerald Executive member. I have never rented from National before, never mind being called an Executive. (An Executive??!?!? My dad would be so proud!!!) :cheer2: I have reserved a full size vehicle, so how does this work?:confused3 Is there only one payment booth in the National garage area? Do all 'non-counter' folk go here, regardless of Emerald Aisle 'status'? After being 'checked-in' how would I know which car is mine? Do I just pick from all the full sized vehicles which, by the way, would all be Impalas, so selecting my vehicle should be a no-brainer. :rotfl: What makes an Executive a better EA member? Does the Executive area have all sorts of cars/vehicles to choose from? Would I get to select the Sebring convertible if it is in the Executive Aisle? <please say yes!>

So many questions, so little brain.:dance3:

Thanks for any insight, folks!

Wow it saved me a bunch for an October Charlotte Minivan Rental, $100 less for 4 days compared to other companies.

I had to drop my car off to be painted today and decided to try the "67" code at my local airport. I made the reservation last night and picked up rental this morning with no questions asked plus I used a two car upgrade coupon. :goodvibes

Wow! I sure hope that this works - the code just saved my 14 day rental for August just over $100 off my best rate. I've been looking for awhile now. Free insurance and all those waivers and taxes removed really makes this a SUPER DEAL. Do I need to print an e-coupon with me? I typed in the 8572957 and ND2119071Q for National. Will any Visa card work? Anyone who goes to the counter and picks up using this PLEASE let me know if you were successful or any more info - I am going in August! I sure LOVE LOVE LOVE these boards!

Just wondering, did you use the counter or the aisle?:)

Just wanted everyone to know, for my 3 day rental that I'm picking up on Friday, I originally had the "67" code for my midsize vehicle. The total was $87.

I just went to the "Last minute specials" page on National's website. Using that link and code, and the visa one day free coupon (mou$e$aver$) the total came to $66.

So, turns out, the last minute special is a better deal. YMMV, but check that link 2-3 days before you leave--last week when I checked it, the "Last minute special" was still more expensive than "67".

with the "57" code i got a full size with all the insurance, taxes, etc. like everybody else, 10 days in Aug for a total of $259. Great deal...hopefully this deal stands up to the test of time

Just picked up my Executive Selection Dodge Journey with 613 miles at MCO using the "67" code along with the $35 coupon. No issues or questions upon driving off the lot.

Cool - what kind of car is a dodge traveler? What kinds of cars were in the executive selection?

My bad...it's a Dodge Journey...D'oh!!

The Dodge is what they call a crossover. Fancy name for the new style SUV's. I like it. Comes with Sirrius all set up and running!

I saw several Pontiacs, Chevy Impalas, Toyota Avalons & Highlanders. Nothing super fancy. I think the Dodge I took was one of the better cars.

:thumbsup2

I went to the National website looking for that ND2119071Q coupon and could not find that one.

Can someone tell me where to find it so I can print it out? I'd love to use it.

No paper coupon needed. It's a "blog" coupon according to National. I just used it yesterday, no issues.

I don't think that this has been mentioned before, but for a future reservation (using 8572967) I get the same price if I try and pick up the car at 2:30 or 3:00. Normally if you try and pick up a car on the half hour the final cost is more.

I know some have more than 1 reservation for a rental car and with the question over the National discount number being good or night some have said if they have a problem they'll just go to their second reservation. In doing so, will National have a problem with someone just walking away from their reservation? And if you use your National reservation, do you call the second reservation you have somewhere else to cancel?
