I will also be one to fight over the code.
I had a problem in August with
Alamo. Booked a full size SUV, I printed the page that showed Yukon XL and the # of people it would hold. I think it said online that it held 7 adults, and a ton of luggage. I have 6 adults, and a wheelchair. (They have since reduced the capacity listed on the website, but I had it prinited out) I got a great rate, using Costco (I am a member). I am a Quick***** member. Well, we got into a fight that lasted over an hour. It was over 90 degrees, and my poor son in the wheelchair was melting. Some of the employees were horrified at what was happening, but a couple of others could not care less (management). They tried to give us a much smaller vehicle, said they could because the small print says "or similar". I said the similar vehicle needs to hold the same number of people and amount of luggage. We went around and around. They offered a regular minivan. Finally they gave us the big monivan, I think it was a Toyota. It would seat 8, and had a huge deep well storage area in the back. It was huge. So, we took it.
So, I have done the fight, it did not ruin the trip, and the vehicle was great. We could not pick the vehicle and drive to the window, because they do not keep standard SUVS in the rows.
Good luck all!
