Better resorts, better busses?

Is there any difference in WDW resort bus efficiency? Are bus runs designed to be more attentive to the higher end resorts? I know it sounds silly, but I'm just wondering.:3dglasses

There doesn't seem to be any relationship between the price of the room and the level of bus service.

I think WDW decides how many buses the Resorts get by how many rooms there in total at the Resort and by how busy it is during that time. I also think when a park like the Magic Kingdom is closed and there are a lot of guests waiting to leave on the buses for the Resorts, they send a lot more buses for all of them.

nope.. although my personal theory is the higher the resort, the less likely guests are to even use the buses.

I actually think that the value resorts have better bus service than the other resorts. Best service that I've had was at Pop Century. Worst was at Polynesian.

on our last trip, we stayed deluxe, and instead of buses the resort set up limos for all the guests. i will definately stay deluxe from now on.

Now we're talking! Where did you stay? Did the limo take you from the resort to the parks? Was there a limo waiting for you when the park closed? Do they take you other resorts for dinner? Does each party get their own limo or are you sharing with other resort guests?

every room had their own limo. plus, you were given a sensor that allowed the limo driver to know your exact location, so they could meet you at the exits as soon as you got there. i will never stay anthing but deluxe again. plus, our driver was berkley.

ITA!!

I would even venture to say, that in our experience, an inverse relationship has been true. Some of the best bus service we have had was at Pop and POFQ. While Pop has more rooms, POFQ certainly isn't a major capacity resort.
The bus service, in contrast, at the EPCOT area resorts (all deluxes, more total rooms by FAR....) has been lacking for many years. It has slowly improved, but that used to be one of our few disappointments that we always noted during the surveys.

In terms of bus service from the Magic Kingdom Resort area, I have noticed that the worst one is the Downtown Disney bus. So because of that my family and I use our own transportation when going there, which is a lot faster then actually waiting for the bus to show up.

I've noticed that the deluxe resorts tend to share buses more often. the All Stars area, Pop Century, CSR and CBR all seem to have their own buses without going to another resort to share. POR and POFQ share a system but they're right noext to each other so it's not too bad.

I've heard the Boardwalk area hotels often share the same bus and the MK area hotels sometimes share the same bus. When I stayed at the WL we shared a bus with Fort Wilderness.

The bus service I received at Pop Century last month was better then the service I received at the WL.

With service like that I would defin I tely stay deluxe.:rotfl:

By the way are you early or late for april fool.

Every room in every delux resort has it's own limo? I'm having a little trouble wrapping my head around this. It seems at a resort with 1300 rooms like the AKL there could be 1300 limos cruising and/or waiting around to pick up guests. Add the 7 other deluxe resorts and that's several thousand rooms and several thousand limos.

Which deluxe resort did you stay at? I can't find any info on this on the Disney site, this site, or anywhere. Did you have Berkley each day of your stay or did they change drivers?

The only thing I've noticed is that at the parks it seems like the deluxe resorts bus stops are a little closer to the parks than the others. Not enough to make a big difference at the end of a long day, but I usually end up at bus stop 2 or 3 instead of 10 or 12.

Has there been an overall improvement in bus service since the new system went into effect? They hadn't started it when we were there in April, so I'm curious if it has solved a lot of the problems.

I think this is a bunch of crap or we would have heard Diser's raving about it and people would be flocking to deluxe resorts. I don't believe it.

It is clearly a joke. :confused3 Deluxe resorts do not get limos. Even GF has to share buses with the other MK resorts.

No - not in my experience.

Best bus service so far POFQ

Worst bus service so far - Boardwalk
