me, thinking I am super cool, Disney know it all, perfect planner, carries touring plans everywhere (but forgets the ponchos)

dh, not too thrilled to be on this trip, thinks we are on a "vacation"

dd9, wants to send sister on TOT first, then decide if she will ride

dd7, will ride anything, Disney rides were too easy for her

dd5, if the ride is fast, high, or just looks scary she is sitting it out

Package was MYW with free dining staying at the POLY 4 day nonhoppers...this will be important later

Day 1...leaving Des Moines

000_0032.jpg

at 5AM all singing zipedeedodah...packed and ready to fly. I had my flight "happy" pills and was feeling great!! Kids were excellent and dh was along for the ride. He was excited deep down...we flew American from DSM to Chicago. The flight was great(thanks to those pills) and so many people commented on that awesome Disney DVD my DD5 had! Bought this for 32 bucks at Target, thanks DIS!! We had a change flight in Chicago but we hopped off one plane right to the next!! It was magic!! There were a lot of families with smaller kids than ours, I noticed right away but EVERYONE on this plane was talking about "Mickey" and "shhhh, be good we are going to Mickey's house" "Don't cry, you want to see Mickey don't you??" Not me, no sir...my girls were angels on the flight(thanks again to DVD players and their excitement!) Once again, so many people telling dd5 how cool her TV was...smartest purchase I made in a while. She was kind of afraid to be up in the sky but the TV helped calm her fears (and my happy pills helped me deal with her fears better!) We got off the plane at 1 pm ready for ME...funny how we never saw those big white hands?? We just followed all the people and figured they knew where to go We then went down to lower level and I spotted the awesome ME busses!! They put you in lines according to resort. We were on a bus with CR and met a very friendly canandian family...the dad was telling me all about WDW. He says "they even have a halloween type party on some days" this is when my ultra know it all personality kicks in (and I get a kick in the rear from it a little later, keep reading!!) I say in a matter of fact voice "yes it is called the MNSSHP and it will be on 9-30 and there is a special hallowishes on Sept 28..." so there...I was thinking to myself...then I proceed to gloat in all my know it all glory "we have a date at CRT in the castle tomorrow!! We have ball gowns all ready to wear!!" I get a very impressed, eye raising look from the nice man and he says, "wow!" Ok so I am feeling very cool at this point. I am figuring out all the stuff, I know so much and am the best planner, right?? Keep reading folks...we check in to the GORGEOUS Polynesian hotel...our room is ready and I request a new room. We get Fiji. We change and go swimming at the volcano pool, it is 3pm!! Just two hours away from landing and we are at the volcano pool!! I want to say here that all the pictures we see here on Dis and on TV can not compare to what you will see in real life!! It is breathtaking and magical. It is like Las Vegas for families, really!! You know how the strip is just so much bigger than you imagined?? This is WDW too!

100_0003.jpg

So we swim at the pool and get back to the room. My dh asks about our luggage as it is now 4:30 or so...I call the fron desk and then as the front desk lady is on hold, our luggage is delivered!! I leave her on the phone for bout 5 mins FORGETTING she is there, I was so excited. When I finally get back I appologize and she says "looks like you have pixie dust coming your way!!" awwwwww!!!! That has become a saying now in our home BTW. We dress and head to CM for dinner...it is crowded but SUPER SUPER FUN. We meet everyone and get tons of pics

100_0016.jpg

it was great! Food was good too. We go back to the Poly and catch the special Halowishes from the beach. My girls then decide they want to ride the boat!!

SO knowing the boat goes right to MK, I decide that is a GREAT idea!! We have 4 day passes and this day was not included BTW...so we all get on the boat, my DH is sooooo not even aware of what is about to transpire here!! Of course seeing a glimpse of the MK, at 9PM (EMH night BTW...what???? EMH??? I had NOOO NOOO NOOO IDEA!!!!!
Of course we enter because we are impulsive like that....
so seeing the MK lit up at night, the gorgeous castle in it's halloween splendor all orange and purple...it was so awesome I could not breathe for a moment (note to self: not writing a romance novel here this is a trip report!) Ok so leaving my fantasy...
It was a great night (remember we entered AFTER park hours RIGHT???) We all join hands and run through the castle (insert happy disney music here) and come upon several characters in the castle!! It was cool, we saw Launchpad Mc Duck but I was so intent on Fantasyland we hurried by the mob of people waiting for siggys...and tada...made it to the GOLDEN CAROUSEL...however my 5yo wants to ride (YOU GUESSED IT) DUMBO!! I talk her into a different ride for our first family ride and we (ok well I mean I with lots of love and force) decide on Snow White. We get up to the CM (HAPPY MUSIC still playing right???) and he asks us, "WHERE are your wristbands??"
SCREEEECHING THE DISNEY HAPPY MUSIC RIGHT NOW!!!
"WHAT THE *&*^*(^*&(, " I think to myself....how could I have forgotten after 7 months of reading and planning???? I am so mad at myself right now...he tells us we have to go to Poohs shop...ok ok, we run over there...(entered after park hours remember???) NO they tell us we have to GO BACK TO the train DEPOT!!!! AHHHHHHH!!! I want to cry but I can't because I am He.... bent on getting on these rides!! So we make a mad dash thru the castle "yeah pretty..yadayadaydada" I say... and we finally at 9:23 get our wristbands!! YEAHHH!!! I can't believe I dropped the ball on this one (if you think that is funny wait til later trip reports...to see my other "balls" drop!!"
But we are all happy and ride several FL rides as walk ons except Dumbo which was about 20 mins. We leave the park at 11 and I thank GOD we are going by boat because we are all exausted and super worn out (remember up at 5am and three girls??) OK so the boat is closed to go to the Poly for some reason (is that another thing I should have known??) and we have to get on the monorail...which was fine. No big deal, nice ride....to the Poly where we sleep and dream of day 2..

SOME WHERE SOME HOW SOME PART OF MY TRIP REPORT WAS LOST...
Anyway I threw away my dd9 pink crocs so now my little girl is shoeless in the Magic Kingdom....and then the story goes....
As I was gloating (I mean saying) before:
Jim at Tinks Treasures by the Castle felt terrbile for me...
my husband seems to think there may be another reason why I got free shoes for my DD...something about a tight pink Tinkerbelle shirt I was supposedly sporting that day??? Who knows...

I want to think that Jim was just a super nice, loving CM who did not want to see my dd go shoeless in the MK...or the possibility of a lawsuit...I choose the Pixie Dust version here of course! Not that I would have sued anyone for my own stupid mistake...

by the way, Tinkerbelle's Treasures is the cutest little shop ever, stop in and say hi to Jim for me...I have been meaning to write a thank you letter...

so the certificate is for gym shoes and he tells me to go to the Emporium (keep this in mind as we finish up our day). We go merrrily along and see all. yes all of MK that day! It is great! We actually did miss three things I can think of 1. Country Bears 2. Hall of Presidents (another childhood trip down memory lane) and 3. Pooh...you know the world has gone mad when Pooh is a longer wait than Dumbo :( Thank goodness we did FL in those 2 hrs of EMH the night before! I can't believe how much we got done...

We love the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. I never really loved POTC and still don't LOVE it (I am a fairy tale girl at heart) but my dh loves POTC and my girls liked it too.

100_0092.jpg

We even enjoyed Carousel of Progress "Its a great big beautiful tomoooorroow!" My dd7 (high in IQ) keeps questioning me as to WHY the SAME guy is still alive!! :rotfl: Can't she relax and just enjoy?? Why is she always so, so , so, SMART?...it really gets annoying to the average. fun loving people! :goodvibes

It comes time to get my dd7'S shoes from the Emporium...I know something big is going to happen...something...something...Ah yeah, I say WISHES at 9! It is about 7:30 when we enter the Emporium (lovely store!! must see) DD7 is very picky about clothing and "fashion" so she is concerned with what shoes would be fit for her. They had a bit of selection for small girls but she wears a girls 2 and there really was not much in that size so I have her try on a womans 5 white tennis shoe with Minnie, very cute...I think I could be Cinderella's wicked step sister and pull those things on MY own feet (a womans 7 is VERY close to a 5 after all...) they are too big but really it was all they had for shoes except flip flops (which are not good park shoes IMO) So she buys the shoes with the voucher (THANKS JIM!!) and my DH is soooo impressed at this point by the magic of Disney...(yesterday I was mad and he asked why I left my Pixie Dust back in WDW??) I think he liked me better as a person down there, man I was happy...oh so happy....
back to the story...
Here is where all these months of planning explode in my face (remember I do KNOW IT ALL right??) I keep saying, "I know something is going to happen!" But I can't grasp what...so I ask the lady in the shop (YOUR GONNA LOVE THIS ONE!)
"WHERE is that music coming from, is there something going on right now?"
she says to me,
"Oh yeah, some kind of parade..."
LIKE DUUUHHH....not some kind of parade THE PARADE...The Grand Daddy of them all Parades and it is running right down Main Street as we exit the Emporium!!
FOR ALL YOU NEWBIES:
BIG MISTAKE!!! Do not get caught inside a store and expect to EXIT during the parade and then WATCH the parade!! I can not believe how incredibly unprepared I was for this MASSIVE amount of people sitting there watching these twinkling floats! You would have thought it was the second coming or something... seriously!!!
We try to exit the store and get told by about 30 CM's to keep moving down...OK fine except for (I kid you not) there was NOWHERE to go and I did not want to get all the way down Main Street knowing Wishes and park closing were next so we find a little corner somewhere and all 5 of us stand there, two in the stroller and my oldest standing up...ANOTHER HUGE MISTAKE HERE...
My dd9 asks me if she can step up a bit to see, I say sure!! WRONG ANSWER...what was I thinking?? Did this look like Iowa to me??? So she moves away from me and I bend down for a SPLIT second to check my other girls (can't recall where DH was...OH YEAH...really ENJOYING the Spectromagic Parade!!!) We stood there in a corner by a stand for about 6 mins when someone of another party (on the other side of our corner) was told to move...well he threw a HUGE FIT and came over to our family and started SCREAMING at us and the CM's WHY the %%#$% do they get to sit there...$%$#% %#%$#% $%#%!!!!! O K !!! WOW...welcome to the HAPPIEST and yet most VIOLENT place on Earth...this guy was acting like there was a famine or something and we were supposed to challenge him for food...
Yes, we were once again told we had to move (yes I know there are strings up to show boundaries but FOR REAL people...we got caught in this becuase I was unprepared (and either scatter brained or had too much to drink, however, being at MK we know what really happened...not even I can blame the drinks on this ball dropping!) The CM was flicking his lighted stick thing at us and yelling (it was loud and crazy there...)and yelling at us to move(this was his job and he did just get ripped a new one by that mobster like impersonator) so he was miffed already...ZIP E DEE DOO DAHH...I was merrily humming along...until...
GASP.... "Where is DD9???"
I couldn't see her
I could not yell for her...
I was FREAKING OUT right about now... we were getting pushed away from the spot where my dd9 was (and where she thought we were!) And I tried to go back to find her but kept getting evil looks like I was trying to cut to see the spectro parade!! I finally yelled as I was standing in direct view of about 10 or 20 peoples parade view "I LOST MY DAUGHTER!!" I was in the street by now, freaking out and crying like a mad woman (sorry if I blocked anyones view the night of Sept 29...) and ONE guy stands up and says "how old is she? What is she wearing??" If one of you Dis guys helped out a freaking lunatic that night, thanks!! Right as he was trying to help me a CM comes RUNNING AT ME as fast as a sprinter doing the 100 m dash at the Olypics (I did not realize Jackie Joyner Cursey was a Disney employee!!) comes wresting me off of the street,
"YOU CAN NOT BE HERE!!" as she is forcing me onto the sidewalk and onto and on top of many parents and their very innocent, and very entertained kids...
"Like I am going to let myself be run over by a GLOWING sea witch and a dancing butterfly," I say....YES I really did say that...
I lost my daughter!!!

It is right at that very moment, either Pixie Dust or God...or both...decided to give me a hand...and my eyes just DIRECTLY went to my dd sitting there, happily clapping along (with another family)...and singing...just magically after being moved by force about 50 feet away from her...coming back to that very spot (remember there are thousands and thousands of people in this area (all very intent on REALLY enjoying this parade btw) and I happen to be able to SEE her sitting there....it really was a gift.
I taught my kids to find a CM if they get lost, I gave them cards with our names and numbers...so I am sure she would have been OK, right??? I will never have to find out...
All I could think about was everyone leaving the park and me not finding her...
get back to the other family members...with dd that I was either going to KILL or smother to death with hugs and kisses (actually I was more upset with myself at this point)...my dh says to me...

"HONEY!! Did you see those pretty lighted butterflies??? Boy that King Triton was cool!! Ursula was REAAALLLY scary don't you think???"

WHAT??? what just happened here...TO this day I can not fathom...my DH was captivated by the Powers of the World, (did I mention he is a softy?? did I also mention I plan on getting him back by telling all of you that he CRIED after Wishes and Beauty and the Beast at MGM?? Did I also mention I have a pic and am going to send copies to all of his Monday Night Football friends??? ENLARGED?? Real tears everyone, REAL BIG tears!!) he was so over taken by the glory of it all, he figured the 9 yo would EVENTUALLY find us...after all who wants anyone ELSES child at WDW," he says...
MEN... (who love parades too much)

So we get done seeing the Spectronightmare parade...I am sure it is a LOVELY parade...I am sure it is splendid!! I am sure it is not to be missed BUT BE THERE 30 MIN EARLY AT LEAST to get a SEAT!!!! do this do this do this!! My family never wanted to get anywhere early for anything and that (combined with my over worked planning mind...) made a bad combination!! We would have been like flies on a swatter if we had been there during a "busy" time!!

We all calm down and I take a vallium (no just kidding) and we actually SIT for 30 mins and wait for wishes!! DH can not sit for long (he has adult ADD IMO...) and decides to go get ice cream for all of us...NICE THOUGHT...It was good ice cream but I was so sick to my stomach after this I could not eat it...of course DH is no slouch in the ice cream eating dept either...and he finishes it up for me!! The kids love the ice cream and I go to give our little Pixie

100_0066.jpg

(she was Tink for lunch at the Castle BTW...when Cindy told her she was a pixie not a princess.. yeah she really did say that... :confused3
my 5yo looks at her and says "TINK is the PRINCESS of ALL fairies!!" LIKE DUUUUHH...don't you know that you silly, dumb blonde???? :rotfl:

and she is SOUND ASLEEP in the Disney Deluxe camper...I mean stroller...built for two, or three :teeth:
and poor thing misses the flight of Tink... :guilty:
none of had or have the heart to tell her...
she is still mad that she never actually "saw" Tink at WDW...
(why can't she just like snow white or a larger character for goodness sake??)

Wishes was beautiful and it surely did put the pixie dust back in our party!! Really it was amazing, an unforgettable experience...I loved it...I cried, I laughed, it was a part of me

back to the Poly, did I mention those wonderful beds??? for a good nights sleep...for tomorrow is EPCOT

and day 3:what do you mean, boats take you across the World Showcase Lagoon?? Oh yeah, I knew that, I just wanted to loose the 5 pounds I probably gained from free dining and RUN from Cananda to Japan in 5 mins...

REALLY NOT THE TITLE but had to keep it interesting :rotfl2:

Your reports are hysterical! I can't wait to read more. Sorry about the Crocs--better not to find them and find DD9 instead. Hope you got to relax at some point.

Looking forward to your next installment.

Your trip report is fabulous! I am enjoying it as we count the days until FRIDAY!

I sincerely hope I don't throw away anyone's shoes. But I only have one child, and it's a boy. I don't see sparkly sandals in his future (at least not next week) so I should be safe from that particular faux pas. :rotfl: And to think DH was ridiculing me for packing 5 pairs of shoes for myself and another 5 pairs for DS. We have one suitcase dedicated entirely to shoes. Now watch that be the bag that doesn't make it to WDW!

Can't wait to read the rest! Thanks so much for posting!! :flower:

he figured the 9 yo would EVENTUALLY find us...after all who wants anyone ELSES child at WDW," he says...

Your reporting is hysterical. This line had me laughing out loud! :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: The funniest report I've read in a while, really enjoying it, and yes my heart leapt into my mouth when I thought you'd lost DD9. Glad you're all safe and sound,

Claire xx

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

ok so on the advice of two of the greatest trip reporters ever...you know who you are... :cool1: I am bumping this thread so that I can continue my rantings and ravings for more installments...

so to be continued....

edited to say...I am going to attempt to do this with pics added so off to the photo board to figure it all out... stay tuned~

Looking forward to the next report. Hope you are able to post some pictures. :)

Great Post. Your right about Spectro, it's absolutely nuts during that parade, you feel like your on Survivor or something.

Are you going to bump Part 1, too? Please do. I would rather start with the beginning... if possible.

I'm glad you bumped it, though. I'm in. Hope you can get pictures up, too.

Oh yeah... THE TEA, girlfriend, THE TEA!!!! Geez. Sorry. Couldn't help myself. Thanks, Mel.

Ok, we are finally going to finish. YEAH!! Looking forward to more. I am with you in that we both love the Poly. But you will also enjoy trips that you don't get to stay there. Promise! :thumbsup2

ok Day 3...some day in September...or are we in October now? I don't know because here it is MARCH 2006 and I am writing this again...
PART 1 DAY THREE
So I, being the wonderful Disney mom of all, have a wake up call set for 7 or so...please remember...we were at the MK the day before from open til close...(and dh thinks we are on "vacation!"). The phone rings...I am in the bathroom while my family is asleep in those luxurious Poly beds...I walk back to the bed and stand over my precious family...
they are not moving....the phone is ringing...
I do not answer it.....I see DH open his eyes in "this sucks" mode...he asks why I am not answering and who the %$# would be calling us so early at WDW...
see I am trying to get the kids up to answer the phone...
I want them to experience the wakeup call...
finally dh answers the phone...
it is Stitch on the other line, only dh knows NOTHING about wakeup calls and NOTHING about Stitch...
the kids are by now starting to stir a bit...
dh gets off the phone and says "I did not know there were drunks in WDW at 7am and how did they get our number???? Does Disney not SCREEN drunk calling??" Do I need to mention he had a VERY sarcastic tone??
Apparenty he has not read Vettechicks reports either...
So the morning is off to a great start already and dh wonders WHY we have to get up so freakin' early...we do not even wake up this early to get the kids to school...so he is ticked...
and they all go back to sleep...
yep....they all went back to sleep!!!! Can you imagine my horror?? We have three more days and three more parks and they are not getting out of bed!
This is why we do not do character breakfasts...
I WOULD have happily gone out to the balcony to have some coffee and read while viewing the lagoon...and all the thousands of people getting on the monorail at 8:00am...just not us...except for we are on the 2nd fl of Fiji which means I comprimised.
Why is is that Only at Disney we accept the fact that we are paying 320 a night for a hotel room and they can not gurantee a request?? Why?? Aywhere else we would not find that acceptable but here I am HAPPY that I got a room with no balcony (but it had great beds and a flat screen TV!!) But I am stuck inside with sleepy,grumpy,dopey...and the three girls too...so I do what any very GOOD mother who loves her family very much would do...I go on a walk...I let them enjoy their slumber and sweet dreams while I enjoy basking in the Florida sun....
no not really....come on people...4 parks in 4 days?????? NOT!!!
I start DRYING my very long, very thick hair...with a very loud hair dryer...

"oh EVERYONES up!!" I say when I get out of the bathroom...
the girls are good to go...and ready to play...dh still has NO IDEA what he signed up for when I said "WDW vacation!"

we all get ready and eat our breakfast in our room...we are breakfast in room people...and we are cheap too. Yep... hint for those who stay at the Poly and like creamer with their coffee...can you buy some at the grocery store? SURE...but why when you can bring to your room FREE mini creamers from Captain Cooks...I am after all part of the DMVC...so it is my right...even if I want to fill it with coffee creamers...(see I told you I rant and rave)

I am once again going to interject here...if you are looking for CUTESY, LOVING, HAPPY, things that my daughers did that week...stop reading because I forgot...we don't have donut baby discussions around my house...we are not superior in intellect obviously...and although I find it very humerous when I am reading other trip reports that have "children gone wild" I really have to say...there was none of that with our family. Nothin'...not a whine, not a cry, not a fight, not a bloody nose or "she's looking at me with her eyes!!!" Nothin'...anyone who has THREE kids must be thinking I am lying...or just mother of the year...but honestly...I do not know why they were soooo well behaved. They always are...in public...at home...well lets just say my oldest daughter has a sign up on her door right now...it reads
"O and M not allowed in this room"

and on O and M door they have retaliated:
"NO M allowed in this room unless it is at night, weekend or any time she wants to play dolls or barbies...other than that...stay out!!!"

My youngest two have heart, don't they???

Ok where am I going here....

yeah we are going to Epcot my friends...it is now about 10am and we are going to Epcot...don't judge me people...
learn from me....

(still working on pics!! I will post soon I hope!!!)

TBC...

I will INFACT get to the park next installment....I will!!!

oh ok...so I put three pairs of pants away, ran down stairs to make sure the girls were still breathing, and not starting any fires (they would NEVER! although this morning dh did catch dd9 trying to jump off the bed with a clothes hanger in hand, trying to hang herself from the ceiling fan...apparently she was then going to ask dd5 to turn the fan ON so that she could....well you get the picture....)

Part ??? day ???? sorry folks, I am just not as organized as other trip report writers...just stay with me here please!!!

We get on the monorail at about 9:30 or so...thank our holy stars we are fortunate enough to stay on the monorail or we would have to plan all our park outings for EMH evenings...
we get off the monorail and get to Epcot...once again I go through the craziness that is "Disney Stroller Pickup" and dh is doing his usual rhetoric "she is 5, she has feet, her legs are not broken..." speech. He is not mean at all folks. Really he is kinda like Mel's bridehusband and I wear the proverbial pants of the family...the fact that we are even IN WDW says something...so he is not mean...just cheap...squeak squeak...and does not want to pay almost 20 bucks for a stroller so instead he will guilt and shame the children because HE KNOWS better than to question me. So we get our deluxe camper on wheels and off we go. DH wants to examine that legacy rock wall thingy...and when dh wants to study something...he studies it...for ever...and we all wait.
It is now about 10:45 and Epcot closes at 9. Great. Some say Epcot is a one day park...I disagree. For our family it is like a 4 day park. Every park is like a 4 day park for us. Do we have touring plans, yes. Do we need them? No...the lines are very short and we have had to wait only 20 mins for any attraction the whole week. So what do we do after that exilerating tour of Legacy?? YEAH!! We do the BALL ride!!! Now my family has me completely jacked up and I have no wireless internet connection here with me at Epcot so I can not post a message to the Dis asking for advice. I can't post a message like
"what are the waits like on spaceship earth on Fridays at 11 am in slow season?"
or
"lets just say I "looooose" my family at Epcot...what are the chances they will find me?"
so we get on the ball.

I do not know why people are so critical of WDW attractions...I loved all of them...yes EVEN Stitch...even the TTA...I even LOVE HOP even though we missed it this trip...I love the ball.

know why I love the ball??

after a few days of sharing a room with three kids...a little alone time is always nice...
don't judge me...I am a mom of three, I am not dead...and any ride that can fit the three girls IN FRONT of mom and dad...and sometimes turns backwards so no one else can see inside your cart...well that is a good ride. I need my "space" after all...so we ride the ball and do some other things around Epcot.
We get to ride MS. DD5 does not ride anything scary at all (unless tricked...see AK report for that incident) I know I am going to offend people here...and maybe show MY age but Gary is ok...in that "Cute uncle" sort of way...for me...and for the record I like older men...my dh is 14 yrs older than I am...age is not the factor but if I want to be shot to the moon...I would prefer to be landed by Matthew McConnahey (spelling?? sorry...) but Gary is just fine, he'll do. We have to do the Chicken swap of course...that is what we call it because we are mean. And we like to tease the 5 yo because she is a chicken. But we do it in a loving way...and she doesn't throw fits and we do not force her on to anything, but we do guilt and shame from time to time. MS is cool and we all love love love it!!
Then we do TT...only WE don't do it...dh and the older girls go do it while I am on chicken coop patrol. DD5 plays in the dumpshop that is GM's shameless advertising...(btw is dumpshop a word or am I copywriting another trip report??) she likes to color those thingies...you know...those things...to color...anyway...we have been there for a LONG while and I do not hear cars moving...so I have a brilliant idea...I am going to Soarin to get FP while they ride. I am another dummy who does not use FP in the correct ways...but PLEASE people I am a newbie and there is a lot going on at WDW and I have a slow family...don't judge me. Learn from me...right now. Newbies take note:
First off, I have no map. Second...I don't know Soarin is in the Land so I start walking TOWARD WS. Until I see Canada. UMMMM...I do not remember Soarin' as a Canadian attraction so I wise up and go back to FW. I meet a CM and ASK where it is. He tells me. I go to the LAND. AHHH!!! So dd5 and I get to the land and I am thinkin I am all cool and going to go back to dh with Soarin' FP's and jump into his arms and he is going to call me his "Disney Queen" and we are gonna get freaky on the dance floor....
but alas...I put MY card in and it only gives me ONE FP that is for ONE person.
I say to the nice CM
"Hi. Ummmm...I need 4 more of these."
he says
"you need everyones park ticket you freakin looser!" ok no he left out the looser part...but you get the idea.
well...ok...sometimes we have to do what we have to do...I bat my baby blues and stand very tall and well...MELONS...is all I can say...
and I play stupid.

Because it is not that hard for me obviously.

he tells me to come back at the return in one hour and they will just "let" my go family go with me!!!

I tell ya...looking at my pic below you may not think "super hot chick" but I assure you...I am (when I wanna be) and guys like melons.
Just a side note here:
I have noticed guys like melons A lot more lately...see a year ago I went on Weight Watchers...what once was a size 14 body can now slip into a 6/8 (for the most part...)and I am really proud of that. I run...I have a treadmill. I do the FIRM(and I am not talking Tom Cruise,YUCK!) and have made a tranformation of sorts. So I bought baby T's for our trip to Disney...in the Jr dept...only everything on my body shrunk...except the melons...

oh yeah Soarin...so my dd5 does some more of those coloring thingies when I sit down to next to a guy and his wife. The wife leaves and I sit down. Isay to guy
"can I sit here? I will get up when your dw gets back...I see you are having a baby soon!!"
only....
the guy has a month old baby in his lap....

GOOOD GOOOLLLY I am the SCUM of the EARTH!!! I really AM~~~I hate myself right now...

I am sooo blonde and soooo stupid...

see that is what I get for trying to be friendly. I try. We meet friends where ever we go and I tell everyone my life story and I want to know EVERYTHING about them...just like the nice Candians on ME (they show up later in my story!)
and so I confess to you all my Disbrothers and Dissisters...
I felt awful...

and grab dd5 and run out of the land at warp speed...we sit...outside in the hot sun....better than where I was 3 seconds ago...dd5 is sad, "Mooommmy I did not finish my pretty buuuug necklace." A good hour or more has gone by and no word from DH. I call him on the cell. He is pissed. Can we say that on the Dis? "It is hot...where are you?? " I tell him we are at the land...easy enough, right??...I tell him to come meet us...
see he has NO MAP...and unlike me will not ask for directions....and has no melons...

apparently TTbroke down like 100 times while they were in line...but they say it was cool...I still have no idea...

so 45 min go by...
an hour...
I call him...
no answer...
UH OH...
a while longer I see him and the two girls...
he is not happy...but he is sweaty, and thirsty, and apparenly hungry..
don't know why...I had a pretzel while on chicken watch...
he's mad.

seems as though dh and the kids took a journey AROUND world showcase to get from TT to Soarin...

and you think this is bad....

so we left off at a very PO'd dh...who went all around the world only to find me in California...ok lame joke...I know...
so he's mad, but he never stays that way for long. Just like today he came home sick from work and got mad at the kids because they were eating Cocoa Puffs in the living room while I was...uhhh...doing laundry...(I said don't judge me people!! I do not neglect my kids for long periods of time...) so I get mad because he is home sick...he is messing up my Dis...I mean schedule...then he appologizes to me because he is grumpy because he is sick...
see what I mean?? Softy...I have pics to prove it...later.
We enjoy a wonderful meal at the Seasons food court in the Land. It really was fabulous. We were on the dining plan after all...but those CS credits hardly got used. We are obviously on a late schedule so we never have time to eat at normal times. So we eat and eat some more. Too much food. Waaay too much. Unless I want to loose my coveted LIFETIME status at Weight Watchers the dining plan will not work for someone like me...someone who LOVES food...and can not not finish a meal, hey...lets just say MY kids are glad they are not donut babies...nor do they ask becuase they KNOW the answer to that one!! ;) We see the Lion King movie there and it is cute!!
I want to to the Living With The Land but can not get a FP and do not have enough time for standby because it is almost time to Soar...
and you must not miss it!~ I love it~~ I love all things Epcot minus Figments ride, ICK!! HATED it!!
what is another great thing about Epcot?
Huge INDOOR theatres...when it is 95 degrees out IMO Epcot is the place to be if you can't do Typhoon Lagoon that is.

ah yes...we get in line behind our canadian friends that we met on ME. These Canadians were soooo super friendly...in a very competative sort of way...like "I'm your best friend who wants to steal your boyfriend" sort of way...but we like them because we are the same way.
Often we play Disney Scene It...often I ground one of the kids for making me loose...no I'm just kidding....really I spank them...no kidding again...I just shame and guilt them and accuse them of cheating...even the 5 yo...who can't read...sometimes if we have an allplay I will read her the wrong words just so I can win...I'm kidding...maybe. She has me figured out by now (and the game memorized and dern it...is learning to READ so I am screwed...

Isn't it funny how you can be in the exact same spots as the Canadians from ME?? In the Fastpass lane...in EPCOT...at the SAME TIME?? Must have been fate because we had 5 and they had three so my dd7 rode with their little girl...here is a pic of them from ME...Mel are they friends of yours?? :lmao:

ok sorry about the size...I am working on it!!!

So this is the nicefriendlyohsocompetativecanadianmouseloving family...the dad and the little girl turned around illegally in on the ME bus...

they were great and we stopped and had some more competative Disney talk...and said goodbye! We said we had to get back to the POLY here shortly...they retaliated with a "yeah...we are at the CR...MK Castle view...14 floor concierge..."
OH SNAP...

We were then off to Figments thing...I don't know what is up with that but it sucks. It is terrible...the only cool thing is the imagination station after the ride...that is kinda cool....
next to Figment I believe is HISTK 3D...and this was really cool. I advise you all not to miss any 3D attractions at WDW because they are all awesome and one of my biggest Orlando memories is of The Birds 3D at Universal...my parents got time shares (not DVC...) so we never stayed onsite and we never visited any park but the MK. My parents ONE year did drop us off at the MK while they went to drink around the world all day at Epcot...we were teens of course...I recall them telling us Epcot was like Vegas and no one over 21 had any REAL fun there...
One of my other Orlando memories is of Bush Gardens, where AGAIN our parents let us loose so they could drink free beer all day (and night)...apparently mom doesn't remember Bush Gardens...or Sea World...OR the Midevil Dinner Show with the all you can drink spigs of wine...ahh my childhood family vacations...
but you see we have nothing to worry about now because I am the mom now...and alcohol is not on the free dining plan and my dh is cheap...and so am I...so we don't get anything not on that FREE dining plan...SUCKERS!! Take that bigwig WDW execs...now who is battling WHO's wallet?? Yeah, that's right...not a penny more...nananana...not to mention we got FREE Leis at the Poly...hahaha~~ FREE....

anyway next to Figment there are some great leaping fountains and here is a pic of my girls playing in them:

right before our ADR at Teppanyaki...
YEAH that's right...see them?? They are soaked..and we are going to dinner!

Stay tuned for next installment to hear about more crazy mishaps and my WONDERFUL planning strategies...and find out how we get to Japan from Canada in under 5 mins...by foot...

We loved the ball too! DH and I had the same thought getting a few romantic moments in the dark with our DKS in the front. No line the day we were there and the kids made us go 4 times in a row and since it was empty the CMs just let us stay on.

I'd say you are a super hot chick and kudos to you girl for losing all that weight. I notice your youngest is 5 I hear that is the magic age when moms lose the weight. I've got one more year to go.

The firm, oh boy, I have that and it is grueling! Just got an elliptical and am hoping to work up to using the firm tapes again.

Can you bring us your earlier installments of this? I jsut started reading trip reports and yours is great. :yay:
