Better bathroom accessories at Concierge level?

I was wondering if the different resorts as well as different levels of resorts give better bathroom accessories? What has been everyone experience?

If you mean toiletries, at the GF and BWI, they're the same as in standard rooms. Some of the bathrooms in concierge deluxe rooms at the GF have whirlpool tubs, as do the garden suites at the BWI. Some have both a shower and a tub, etc. Some of the suites have televisions in the bathrooms (including garden suites at the BWI). Also, the GF has different toiletries than the deluxe resorts (basically different packaging), like White Rabbit cotton swabs.

I am sorry! :rolleyes1 Yes, I do mean Toiletries. Such as soap, shampoo, lotions, shower cap, ect. I would imagine that you get a better quality as well as a larger variety of items with the deluxe resorts compared to the Value.

That being said; we have stayed at Pop, AKL- concierge level, and Shades of Green. I must say I was surprised that they all seemed the same in the toiletry area. I am hoping that we just had an unusual experience. I know there is a big difference between toiletries at a Best Western and a Hyatt. :earseek:

What has everyone found in his or her resorts?

Let's see:

at the ASMo, got only facial soap

at POP, got facial soap, bar soap, and shampoo

at POR/POFQ, got facial soap, bar soap, shampoo, lotion

at WL/BC/AKL, got facial soap, bar soap, shampoo, lotion, shower cap

that's it.

I've stayed concierge at every resort...(haven't done RPC yet, that's in January!)

At all but the WL and GF we got--two types of soap, shampoo, shower cap, lotion, toothbrush and paste.

At the GF we also got a vanity kit and sewing kit, and it was packaged differently.

At WL I don't think we got toothbrush/paste.

My main concern is nice soft toilet paper. Anything beyond that is gravy. My tush craves soft tp.

Then you need to bring your own toliet paper.

The toliet paper at the Poly concierge level is terrible - the same as everywhere else!

Me too, I had forgotten about swearing I'd bring my own the next time I was in a hotel.

We just got back from a concierge stay at YC. Sorry to report that although we got more toiletry items (toothbrush, toothpaste), the quality was the same. The shampoo was still that dreadfully small 2 in 1 stuff. I just assumed that we would have better quality items. On the Disney Cruise, we were given Botanicals hair products while inside staterooms received the standard Mickey stuff - that was not the case at the resorts. Bottom line - bring your own shampoo if you don't want your hair to feel like straw. :earsboy:

Don't mean to go off-topic, but what category cabin were you in on the cruise? Concierge level? We were category 6 (deluxe verandah) and received the "standard Mickey stuff". LOL So I'm wondering if the Botanicals were for concierge only, or if they've upgraded some of the other categories too. As far as I know, ALL categories (except concierge) got the "standard Mickey stuff", not just inside cabins! LOL

Now back to on-topic: We also got q-tips and cotton balls at the Grand Floridian, packaged in separate "Alice in Wonderland" themed boxes. However, this was in a lagoon view room, NON-concierge.

Speaking of toilet paper, check it out at the GF after Mousekeeping leaves. They turn up the corners at the end of the toilet paper and stamp the GF logo right into it. Now that's luxury :teeth: .

At one time, the suites came with full bottles of shampoo and other upgraded items. I'm not sure if even they have those amenities anymore.

I have to agree that the Disney cruise toiletries are so much nicer. We've stayed in category 3's. I don't know if that makes a difference. The botanicals were heavenly though.

I thought the Kleenex was worse. That's always on my list now. I've got to have the nice soft stuff for my nose! :teeth:
