I really had a blast being beta again!


I tried just last night to say burp and it wouldn't allow it. That is one word I really miss along with the muahaha.

I am in that screenshot in my "uld" clothes...lol...and before I was gifted my black mickey ears!!!

..and Yes Be you are right we should not limit it to Beta people but it sure will be even more difficult to get in the room.....

maybe you should have a series of rooms because we already know that all of us in not going to fit in one room.

Wait do celebrate it birthday beta opening day or the day vmk came off of beta? or do we celebrate the may 23 to june 27?

Muahaha was reinstated, and Doom was newly added, a few weeks ago.

Edited to add: the compulsive in me wants to point out that muahaha was actually never in the dictionary, until now, but rather was somebody's screen name, back in the days when we could say anybody's screen name, on friend list or not

I doubt there'd be more than 30-40 people at a time, so 3 rooms should be plenty. I would suggest having 3 rooms, linked in a "triangle" -- that is, each room could link to the other 2 rooms.

Perhaps there should be some semi-enforced "mingling", with people moving from room to room. I only suggest this because I seem to recall an early 2-room Dis party, and all the early people packed into one room, and a few, lonely, neglected stragglers sat by themselves in the other room, feeling kind of left out.

Thank you for reminding us of that old thread. I am really enjoying remembering how lost and confused we all were!

I even found a screen shot with mickeysmagic's original outfit. (Ok, everyone, remember we didn't have much to work with then )

This is a great thread! I have been around since Beta. I discovered VMK because my DH and I were going to Disney in the summer, and I was on the website every day, planning what we should do. A window popped up about VMK and I thought, "Why not?" And thus it all began! I have no idea when that was - some time in May. Mind you, I had no idea what I was doing for about two weeks. I am eternally grateful to have discovered the VMK boards though. I wouldn't have known about the quests when I went to the park, or VMK Central, etc. And more importantly, I got to meet all of you! Because the very best part of VMK (and the Dis boards, of course) is the people!

I joined the DIS after I started playing back in May. I loved Beta, I still remember the days where you could say any title.....
