i'm wondering what is the easiest thing for characters both fur and face to use to sign their name?

i've heard large pens and sharpies....

any particular brand/type specifically that you find writes well and is easy for the characters to use?

and along with that what would be the best autograph book?

for example if a sharpie is best to write with then would a regular classic WDW autograph book be good or would the sharpie bleed through the pages?

We've always just used the pens sold at WDW, Of course they are not the cheapest, if you are on a budget. But they have worked fine for us on several trips.

Sharpies.

(But, not green.)

I bought the "official" autograph pen when I realized we'd left everything at home by accident before a breakfast at Ohana. I was skeptical (it's of course ridiculously over priced for what it is) but the characters can use it with no trouble, and now, 2 years and dozens of trips later, it is still going. So not the total waste of money I thought it was going to be (and it matches the book, which works for the OCD types like me)

We always get the autograph books that are sold there, the ones where you can put a picture on the one side. The first time, we used the pen that you can buy to go with it - giant ball point pen. While the characters have no problem using it, I find that it's really not easy to see because the pages are colored and have a print on them. The next time, we brought a Sharpie (the "clicking" kind so that we didn't have to mess around with a top) - I found this to be a much better solution and it does not bleed into the paper.

We use the retractable Sharpies. Red & black work best, green & orange don't work so well. We use a spiral bound set of 4x6 index cards to get autographs. Everything stays together & we just have to flip to the next page. When we get home we put the index cards in an 8x8 scrapbook with the autograph page facing the page with the picture of the character with DD. I figured that was easier to carry around & cheaper too.

Another vote for the sharpies. A thick barreled pen works best for the characters, especially with the gloves on, and a ballpoint men means thin signatures.
