There are some good deals on Tevas at Zappos and free shipping. I've never had Tevas. I was wondering what was the best style for all-day walking comfort. Thank you!

My favorite for lots of walking and comfort are the Pretty Rugged style. I have the leather pair and will be buying the waterproof nylon style this year. They are very comfy. I didn't get one blister on either my August or my October trips to WDW!!

I also have the pretty rugged leather style and last year I bought the nylon version...They are the only two pairs I wear to the parks.
I find they very comfortable and my feet never get sore.

I have Kinetics. They are pretty spendy, but felt just like wearing sneakers, with all the benefits of wearing sandles....

You may want to check REI.com. They have Pretty Rugged (in green only) for 42.93 vs. Zappos at 70.95.

I do not reccommend the hurricane. I had some original tevas from over 10+ years ago (before they even had different styles i think!) that finally needed replacing. I got the hurricanes because they looked like my old ones and were cheaper than the more cushiony looking ones. They Hurt and give me blisters!! I have tried everything I can think of to break them in, wearing them with socks, in the water, putting moleskin on them/my feet etc, but to no avail. They sit on my shelf and hardly ever get worn. I wish I had spent the extra 20 bucks for the more expensive cushiony pair.

I just bought a pair of Pretty Rugged Leather sandals and I love them!! They are so comfortable.

I want to buy a pair, but am a bit nervous because I always have trouble with any kind of shoe feeling comfortable on me. It took me years to find the right sneaker. My right foot is wider than my left and that is where the trouble comes in  . How are these for wide feet? I really like the look of the Kenetics.

Thanks for the REI.com advice too! Never would've thought to check there.

I am wearing by brand new pair of Teva flip flops that I just got in the mail today. They are the Olawhahu style, so they are different than regular flip flops, in that there are four straps cris-crossing across the whole front half of your foot. They are extremely comfortable, and because of the straps, feel very secure on my foot. They don't even "flip flop" when I walk. I have a pair similar to these (not Teva's) that I wear to football games in the early fall when it's still hot, and I have never had a problem with them, and we walk all over campus for hours before the game. So, I think I would rather wear these to WDW than sneakers or even the more expensive Teva's (I know they are supposed to be really comfortable, but I'm a shoe snob, and I can't bring myself to wear them because I don't think they are attractive. I know, that's terrible, isn't it? ).

BTW, I ordered them through Amazon from Shoe.com. They had free shipping, and since I was able to apply a $10 Amazon GC I had, they were only $12!

First, LovePug, I have to tell you that your puggly-wuggly is enchanting!

I have two pairs of the pretty rugged style of Tevas, with nylon straps, that I wear all summer long. The nylon dries quickly in the Florida heat and I have never had a blister while wearing them. I swear they even help my back. I have a hard foot to fit -- short and wide -- so I go up a size in the Tevas.

I bought both pairs from http://www.sierratradingpost.com They go on sale periodically -- I checked today and no Tevas at the moment but their inventory changes all the time.

THANKS for that advice! I checked them out and they look nicer than the regular Teva style. So that style doesn't "cut" your foot anywhere where the bands lie? Have you worn them a lot in heat with much walking? I just don't want those heat patches on the bottom of my feet! Thanks again!

LovePug, tevas work well for people with different width feet, because the straps adjust to your foot.

I think my current ones are the pretty rugged ones as well. I've been lucky enough to fit into their larger kids sizes which are quite a bit cheaper than the womens.

A lot of their current styles have the odor guard stuff embedded. The reason I bought a new pair was because DH couldn't stand the smell of my old ones! But honey, they're the most comfortable sandals I've ever had! When he wouldn't get in the van with me anymore, I decided a replacement was in order.

Well, since I just got them today, I don't have much experience walking around in them, but I have been wearing them all afternoon, and I haven't noticed any problems. The straps are very comfortable, and haven't left any marks, yet are snug enough to keep them on my feet. Obviously, I haven't worn these out in the heat yet, but they are the same thickness and material as my other flip-flops and I don't have a problem with those. And, like I said, I wear those to football games in Sept. and even Oct. where it will still be in the 80's or even 90's, and we do a lot of walking around campus. I have never had any problems with those, so hopefully, the Tevas will perform the same way. :)

I wear a wide shoe and I can't wear any Tevas. The front strap hurts at the outer edge of my little toe. I think you need to try them on.

Bought these babies last year and I love them! Can't wait for our trip to wear them again!
