Has anyone stayed at the best western across from Disney? Have a one and two year old so want to stay close. Price is half of PP. Worried the the room will be half the quality.

We have stayed there twice within the last two years, and would stay there again. It is clean, friendly, and the closest you can get off-site which was much appreciated at the end of a long day. It all depends on what you want, and we want a clean place to sleep at the end of the day and a close walk. We also prefer to spend the cost difference on souvenirs, etc., but some people would rather stay in a DLR hotel. It is just personal preference. Hope this helps, and good luck with your decision!

It does help. Thank you:). Clean and close is what I agreed to look for. Do you know if the hotel does gift baskets or will decorate room? Thinking a Mickey and mini doll some Mickey shaped balloons or cookies.

I have stayed at both PPH and BWPPI and unless PPH does another $100 a night deal like they did in 2009 I would choose BWPPI every time. PPH just isn't worth the extra $$$ IMO.

It is not fancy by any means but it is far from a dump. It is clean, safe and close, which I love. The free breakfast was a nice perk as well (cereal, donuts, boiled eggs, pastries, milk, coffee and juice) just make sure you do the continental breakfast upstairs rather than the pancake breakfast in the restaurant..

Two thoughts:

First, the hotel does have a small gift shop with Disney souvenirs, so maybe they would be willing to pick some things out (with your guidance) and put them in your room for arrival.

Second, if you go to the Disney Floral and Gifts website, you can place orders for delivery but...to deliver domestically it is a $25.00 delivery charge. They have some adorable things, but it all depends on how important it is to you.

You could also try florists in Anaheim and see if they have any Disney items that they could deliver to your hotel.

Also, I have heard others say what MrsJackSparrow said about the PPH. And, do make sure that you go upstairs to eat the free continental breakfast rather than the restaurant downstairs.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Will check out the free breakfast upstairs and the Disney floral web site. Our trip is last week in November. Still seems so far out and I'm so excited to go. Can't wait to see Disney all decorated for the holidays. Thanks again:):):)

We stayed there last June, and will stay there next time we go. It was clean and quiet. We stayed on the third floor (top), near the front of the second building. It was so amazingly close...perfect for tired feet! We have stayed at Camelot before, but we liked BWPPI better. The pool is small, but they do have a jacuzzi. Breakfast is convenient. All in all, we had a great stay there. We have never stayed on property because the rooms don't have microwaves, which we need, so I can't make a comparison. But I'd sooner save some money on a hotel, we don't spend much time in the room anyway.

I am so glad I saw this thread. I am looking into hotels for next summer and wanted a Best Western for rewards points. This looks like the place for us!:thumbsup2

We just returned as well. It was our first stay at BWPPI. After MUCh deliberation I chose BWPPI because of reviews and proximity.
I had to reserve 4 rooms for a variety of people and eveyone was very pleased.

I would stay again - and recommend it for sure. The location was primo!

We weren't huge fans of the bfast - but it was OK with a few yogurts and slices of ham & cheese from Target that we kept in the fridge.

Great location and clean..parking lot stinks (very small) but other than that it's good!! Highly recommend it!:goodvibes

I stayed there in February & will be staying again in December; never stayed at Paradise Pier so I can't compare them, but I LOVED being so close to the park - it's about 5 minutes from room to Park turnstiles. The room I had was very nice for a moderately priced hotel...the bed was very comfortable & it was nice to have a micr owave and refrigerator in the room. The free breakfast was a bonus as well, but as others have said...stick to the free breakfast upstairs & don't bother with the restaurant (Captain Kidd's) downstairs.

I usually book my Best Western rooms through this link: http://book.bestwestern.com/bestwestern/priceAvail.do?stdRateFlag=false as it pretty much always has the best prices, especially with the pay-in-advance options. Hope that helps!
