My parents, brother, DH and DD 4 and I are going to DL in Aug. I currently have two rooms booked at Park Vue. I did a lot of research and this place gets great reviews everywhere. We plan to get a rollaway in our room and have DD sleep on it (queen bunk bed rooms were not available) and my brother take one of the queens in our room. Of course it is right across the street from DL, so that is a huge plus.

Now, I'm looking at the BW mini-suites and see that it might meet our needs better in terms of room and size for the same price. I think we have to pay for parking, but the room comes out pretty much the same price wise since we have to add on for a rollaway at PV.

Thoughts? Advice? Suggestions? Thanks!

Our last visit to the park (last summer) we stayed in a mini-suite at BWPPI (2 queens, sofabed). We are two adults and three teens. It was a great size room for us, and we had a nice stay there. I would stay again. I think the sofa-bed would be small for two people, but doable if necessary. It was about $156, and $10-15 for parking(can't remember exactly). This summer we are trying Park Vue Inn just to see what it is like. We have a three queen suite for $163. Free parking. I can't compare them yet, but I would stay again at BWPPI easily. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast saved us some money, the rate we booked under dropped before our visit, and they emailed us to notify our room rate went down! They are both close, get good reviews...I don't think you'd go wrong with either place...I'd pick the one with the room that best meets your needs.

We are looking at staying at both of those places and PVI has a free hot breakfast and free light dinner meal. They also will give a fruit basket upon arrival...not to mentiont he free parking.

I would weigh the pros and cons and if BW is less but with extra room space wise...I would go for that.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. The only advantage I'd see of Park Vue is the free hot breakfast and "light dinner". They are right next to each other and usually comparable in price and quality. If BW has more space for a comparable price, go for what you think you'll need.

Is the mini suite one large room or a living room and bedroom? I don't know how everyone would feel about sleeping in the same big room.
Also, is there one bathroom in the mini suite? That is alot of people to be sharing the same bathroom and trying to all get ready to go to the parks in the am.
I would think that two rooms would be a better choice with 2 bathrooms, no matter where you stay.
I am staying at Park Vue in May and did alot of research on all the hotels and I really liked the reviews I read about Park Vue. I was a little aprehensive when I read the Birnbaum Guide and they didn't even mention Park Vue at all but they did mention quite a few that got bad reviews. But when I checked more reviews I felt I made a good choice and Birnbaum is wrong.
I will write a review after my stay. It is my birthday too so I am looking forward to the Cold Stone cake.

We are staying at Park vue inn this summer in a 2 room suite with a kitchen, 2 queens in the bedroom, sleeper sofa. I'm hopeful it will be a nice stay based on my hours of research on here and trip advisor. I must have looked at hundreds of pictures! lol... But we did stay at Best Western Park Place Inn last summer, and would not stay there again. I already posted all the reasons why in another thread, but short version here, although the room was nice enough, and cleaned well, they did not honor our room requests even though they were based on health, it was so noisy from the floor above it disturbed our sleep a LOT, the breakfast...:lmao: we went and tried it once, then paid for breakfast the rest of our week long stay, unusable wifi, dark room. From pics and reviews on trip advisor, I am hoping the Park Vue will be a lot better. Looks like a lot of DISers will be staying there over the next few months so it will be interesting to see how we all rate it.

We would've loved to have gotten a suite at the park vie but just booked the trip this week so none were available. I think I'll stick with the park vie for now. I keep seeing consistently good reviews on all the travel sites I explore. BW is very mixed at best with most
Y negatives alongside the lines of what Smileyface2 said. I know we won't be in the room that much and I know not to expect WDW standards so we' ll be just fine. Thanks to all who have posted so far!

I stayed at BWPPI with my niece in 2007. We had a king bed suite. The room was large. We were at the front in a ground floor room and didn't notice any noise.

I thought the breakfast was fine-not terrible, not really good. I've heard they are testing out some new breakfast items. I'm waiting for May to find out what they decide.

Just an FYI, when I made our reservation, she asked if there was anything we were celebrating. Well there were a few things, but the only qualifying events are birthday and anniversary. I told her about my birthday and she said what about our grandson? I said well his birthday is not until October, and she said but are you coming here to celebrate that? and I said oh, yes of course! so there will be some sort of gift with balloons attached waiting for him, and myself, which includes apparently a coupon to Cold Stone Creamery for a small icecream cake! and of course the gift basket with fruit, wine and mmmmm can't remember what else, when we arrive. It will make for a very festive arrival! So if you are going on this trip to celebrat eithe of those events, even if they are not exactly when you are there, make sure the call and tell them! it will be nice with 2 rooms you should also get 2 gift baskets! :yay:

That's right! My birthday is the fourth day of our trip. Better go add that back to the ressie! Can't pass up some delicious coldstone! Wonder if I should just call or if there is a way to add it if I look it up online?
