has anyone stayed at either of these properties very recently? if so, how are they? thank you

I was at the BW at the end of Sept and I just loved it!!! Very quiet and as I had a park view room, I had probably one of the best views in all of Fl. There is usually an extra fee if you request a park view but it is definetly worth every penny. From my balcony I could see all of the fireworks at all the parks as well as those from DTD. What was really great is that at that time they were rehearsing the new fireworks show at Magic Kingdom so we got to see some almost every night even though they were only scheduled twice that week. During the day the view is tremendous also since there is a lake and woods in the view. No parking lots or roads. Depending on the exact location all you may see is part of the Buena Vista Palace or the Marriott Renaissance.

We have stayed at the Best Western quite often since 1990. (Back when it was the Travelodge.) Our last stay was during rennovations in 2002. Has anyone stayed in the new room?
Needless to say we have always thought of that hotel as our special place to stay while at Disney. The rooms are spacious, nice bathroom with dressing area and mirror outside of the bathroom area, nice balcony--be sure to request a Disney view. Can see DTD, Epcot and Cinderella's Castle in the distance.

Have fun!!!
