With all the choices for hotels on I-Drive it is making me crazy on where we want to spend 7 nights. I have a map of the I-trolley stops and this hotel is in the general area that we would like to stay. There seems to be a lot of places to eat and shop around this area and since we are not renting a car we are going to use the I-trolley for some of are transportation. Does anyone have anything to say about this hotel? I check on tripadvisor and the Rodeway Inn that seems to be close to the Best Western gets better reviews, but when I mentioned that we might stay there there were several people posting that this was an awful hotel, so please can someone out there offer me opinions on this or any hotel in that general area of I-Drive. Thanks :confused3

I have stayed at both and far prefer the Best Western Movieland. It's clean, tidy, well located and good value. And Dreams Unlimited also do deals on this hotel too.

Did you use the Shuttle Service @ this hotel to the theme parks?
If so,how did you find the shuttle service?

No, sorry. We had a hire car. My husband has used the shuttle to Universal once though. He said it was fine and reliable.

I like the Sierra Suites on I-Drive, the trolley sales office is right behind it. Rates were good and the trolley stop was across the street. Shuttle service to Universal was okay, and we took the trolley to Sea World and Wet & Wild

We've booked to stay here in October but I'm having second thoughts. We stayed in the Wyndham on International Drive last October, our first Florida trip with the kids and although it was an excellent hotel we felt we didn't need all the extras as we were up and out each day and only came home at night so didn't get the good of the facilities. We decided if we went back we would save money by going to a budget hotel as basically all we need is a bed for the night - only now it's booked I'm not so sure. Any comments good or bad would be appreciated. :wave2:

Susie, I know exactly how you feel. As long as the room/bathroom is clean and the place doesn't smell musty or smoky, I am happy. I dont know this specific hotel but have stayed in several Best Westerns across the country and they are a chain I would trust, also Comfort Inns. We NEVER go to Travelodges, three truly bad experiences were enough! When we look for hotel "perks", we are looking for a continental b'fast and a minifridge. Don't care toomuch about pools, gyms, hot tubs, restaurants, etc at the hotel as we spend most of our days in the parks. Anyhow, I think you should relax about this plan, and think of the $$$ you are saving!

We too are booked to stay in this hotel in October. I would not worry Susie, we stayed in the Quality Inn Plaza last year, and like you I worried cause the reviews were not that good. I found it fine, I think sometimes people have too high an expectation on these budget hotels. Like you said you are only in there too sleep, Best Western are a big brand so I would imagine they would be quick to resolve any problems if you were unlucky enough to have any. You can see the hotel on TV Travelshop on sky during their Florida shows and it does look nice.

Thanks leebee and orangebreezer for putting my mind at rest. I must try and catch it on TV Travel Shop on Sky. Roll on October. :flower:
