Best Western LBV or Hotel Royal Plaza?

We need a first night hotel before we check into BCV and I can get either of these two for the same price. Which would you choose? We're not planning on visiting the parks that night but would like to be within walking distance (15-20 minutes) of DTD. We'll probably also use the pool if it is open late enough. We've often stayed at the Hilton DTD but for this trip the price difference is just too big to ignore.

eta: We'll have a car if that matters.

I have never stayed at the Royal Plaza but I have stayed at BW-LBV. The Hotel Royal Plaza is right across the street from Best Western. They are both within a 15 minute walking distance to DTD or a 15 minute walk to the Crossroads where you will find plenty of restaurants and outlet stores. I stayed on the 6th floor of the Best Western, beds were comfy, room was spacious as we are a family of 5, no noisy a/c, and I loved having the balcony. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel had pizza delivery and a bar. The swimming pool was nothing to write home about (small) but it did stay open all night. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Hotel Royal Plaza Hands Down. While LBV is not awful, HRP is a nicer hotel.
HRP had been closed for months after hurricane damage last year. We have not stayed here since its closure, but I am sure it is its elegant self again, only newer. If you can get either hotel for the same price, it sounds like you are getting a good deal on HRP. GRAB IT.
