best western in cocoa beach

spending a few days before our disney trip at the cocoa beach best western. will be there on the 22 of august. did anyone ever stay there and have anything good or bad to say about the hotel?

Stayed there years ago (maybe 6 or 7?). It was clean, but I thought kind of shabby. Furniture particularly cheap and kind of beat up. It's not DVC. We had a small fridge in the room and a little balcony, though, and the boys were thrilled to go to Ron Jon's and also get a surfing lesson. We had fun, but I'm glad we had our DVC stay afterwards.

That's been ages in hotel terms, though, and it could be bought out, renovated, torn down and built up a half dozen times by now.

thank you. also doing dvc after, kids just want to boogie board in the ocean and we need a place to sleep at night. how old were the boys when they took surf lessons?

They were 17. If you Google Cocoa Beach and surf lessons, some names will come up. I think they will teach younger students, but not sure. The instructors were good, and the boys loved it!
