We leave for Disneyland next weekend!:cool1:

There will be me, and my two children. Most rides we can either squeeze in together or my daughter can ride behind/in front of my son (6) and I. She is 10 and taller than me...What I'm wondering is, I know it takes some maneuvering with your weight to get the tires moving. Will she be able to do it by herself, and if not, am I allowed to send her on one tire with her brother and I go on my own? She's about 5'2" and 100 lbs (give or take)

We rode Luigi's once in October. It was DS5, Niece6 and myself. Between the 3 of us it was probably 300lbs. And we had no problems at all manoveuring the tire. We just made sure we all moved in the same direction. And we got around pretty good. The 3 of you should be able to fit on the tire together no problem. We had lots of room.

Great! I like when we can all ride together...despite her independence, DD hates being left out. lol!

My 8 year old was in a tire by himself, and he was just fine. We were first on the ride one morning, and each of us took a tire, and it was FABULOUS, being able to "fly" at each other and bounce into each other. MUCH better than having us in the same tire, in our opinion. It's much more fun to "fly" into family members than into strangers.

This past weekend, it seemed like they were trying to keep things efficient by not asking guests if they wanted separate tires. Most tires I saw were filled with groups of 2 or 3, unless a rider waited in line by him or herself. So you might not even get the option of having multiple tires. Personally, I think riding together is more fun because the extra weight makes it easier to move the vehicle.

Make sure you put the heaviest person in the middle. Also a tip I read on here that I think worked is that you need to allow for enough time for your tire to respond. So keep leaning and wait a bit before giving up and leaning another way. Last trip it was just me and my 32 pound daughter and we were able to get some real speed across the area and good bumps. My DH didn't do as well with her and I suspect it was because he was a little off center and didn't give the tire enough time to respond. Have fun!

It's all about weight distribution and leaning together the right amount. It reminds me of operating a Segway - use subtle movements.

I rode once alone with my 75lbs 7yo, my 45lbs 5yo, and with my 35lbs 2.8yo, and with every combo of two of them, always with me in the middle of the seat. We had a grand time, and cpster is correct on all counts.
