Best week in Jan. to go

Someone help me decide which would be the best in Jan. for us to go. The week of Jan. 5, 12, or 19. Need to nail down date this week. Thanks all.

Almost any time in January is good as far as crowds go. I might avoid Martin Luther King Day weekend, but you should also know that they do rehab some attractions during this slow time. They park hours aren't as long either.

I go the first week in January every year for my son's birthday. We come down on either New Year's Eve or New Year's Day and watch the place literally get vacuumed on January 2nd. It is so nice to see the holiday festivities then see the bulk of the crowds DISAPPEAR!

We always stay through his birthday which is January 5th and the crowds are minimal but the weather is iffy. The last two years were unseasonably cool that week and the following week was always fine, 70s as the high. I'm hoping we get luckier this year!

How long do Christmas decorations stay up into Jan. This might play into our decision. thanks!

We will be in WDW January 4 - 11th. I have read that Osbourne lights will be up until January 5th. I think some of the resorts will also have their Christmas decorations up until the 5th but I am not sure of which resorts.
I think I read on Deb's website about Osbourne lights.

We have gone twice in late Jan. We find that the weather is just a bit warmer and comfy.
This year we are going the last two weeks. We still pack lots of warm clothes for the evening. Hats, finger gloves, sweat pants for under kids' pants, jacket.

But you know, really less crowds! The only drawback in Jan is you don't enjoy the water parks as much with the cooler daytime weather. But we aren't there for that: we are there for the rides and stuff.
