What is the best weather app to check the weather while at the parks. I'm looking more at the rain arrival. It would be nice to know when the small rain storms might show up.

MyRadar works well for me.

Dark Sky gives you an hour at a time. Will tell you that the rain will arrive in 9 minutes... And it will!

NOAA Hi-Def Radar App (v1.21)

First app I've ever paid for (I think it was $0.99....certainly no more than $1.99)

Very accurate and detailed.

Thing is...having something predict when rain will show up in an hour or two is actually rather pointless in summer in FL. You could be standing under clear blue skies with just a few clouds and within half an hour (sometimes less), be inundated by wind and rain.

I agree with myradar

Forget about a forecast if you're trying to see immediate weather concerns. You'll do much better looking at a radar and seeing what is currently going on.

I like weatherbug, it always seems accurate and it will also tell you how far away lightning is from you.

This. Or you could have downpours at MK and nothing but sunshine at Epcot.

My recommendation: Go outside. Look up.

I use the local Fox affiliate (WOFL) weather app. I use it in general, because I like the weather alert function, the radar, and the forecasts. I work in an office woth no windows, so having something with good radar and alerts is necessary. I have it loaded on my iPad and iPod, so I'm covered either way.

For Android I recommend the Accuweather app, I feel like it has the most accurate radar and runs the best on a Nexus 4 and Galaxy S4. (Two phones I've used it on thus far)

Local 6 has an app called Click Orlando that has the weather radar as well but its not as detailed as a weather app

For me the Weather Channel app is a bit laggy and takes forever to load, sometimes with a force close error. That all depends on the type of phone and operating system of course.

:rotfl:

That's what I was thinking! The rain seems to form out of nowhere. You can have clear blue skies and rain at the same time. It's so weird.

I find Accuweather to be pretty accurate. Depends on when you will be there. If its anytime in the Spring/Summer. It will rain everyday (just 20 minutes around 2-4PM) so just prepare.
