Good question. I would like to see some of the responses.

We were there in June with my DH, DB and his family and our Mom. We purchased a personalized picture frame in Germany for our Mom from us all. She loved it and talks about it still.

The Animation Gallery in HS has the best collectables that we have found. We recently purchased some beautiful serving plates with artwork adapted from 1970's WDW Park Map by artists Kidney and Daily. They are really cool, and not found anywhere else in the Parks or Resorts.

That is really going to depend on exactly what you are looking for. There are so many specialty shops all around the parks, DTD, and resorts. I love walking through all the shops

Would you mind posting a photo of that picture frame? We are going next month without my parents. My mother is such Disney lover that I am thinking this might be a great idea for Mother's Day.

TrenD in DTD has a lot of unique and cool items for women! Love to browse in there!

Hmmmm, hard to choose - I love Mousegears at Epcot, as they seem to have everything there - depends on what you are hoping to find. All of the gift shops around World Showcase are unique as well. If we have time during our vacations, I like to visit as many of the resort gift shops as I can, as that is usually the best place to find a unique or sale item.

I love the Japanese department store. So many cute little trinkets, jewelry, art, snacks...
Reminds me of being a little girl in Japan.

So it's pretty much hit or miss. Just did not know if there was one standout shop- that seamed to have the most unusual,stuff.

Guess its just a matter of checking them all out

I really like Mousegears in Epcot. Also in Epcot, The Japan shop where you can pick a pearl. Very fun experience for me and dd.

In MK: I like the store as you come out of the peter pan ride and also the one by splash mountain.

At AK: There is a really neat Teas store in the Andapur(sp?) market area. I got my mom a beautiful tea set.

I also enjoyed the store at POR. Since it was our home for a week, it felt homey~weird, I know!

I also love this store, along with TrenD in DTD and I like the row of shops in DHS down the street on the way to Tower of Terror.
