Any tips on best ways to get kids to interact with characters? My DD3.5 is shy and will probably need some "prompts" to help her interact. Last year, having her wear her Minnie dress got her some special love from Minnie at CM. I have heard Donald Duck hates hearing about the Chipmunks? Any good suggestions out there?

Donald did not like when DS5 had his Mickey Ears on. He ripped them off his head.

This wasnt at a meal but if you comment on Stitch and tell him to behave you usually get a reaction.

Make sure to get Chip & Dale mixed up......ask your DD to tell you which is which, they will react either way she answers.

If your child has a favorite be sure to tell the character. My daughter told Dale she loved him best and he stopped to hug her each and every time he passed us. She was on Cloud 9. :cloud9:

Getting an autograph is a good way to initiate interaction. The books that you can buy at most gift shops are really handy. Each page has a spot for the signature and a sleeve for a picture.

We also usually said something particular to each character -- At Chef Mickey's we complimented Minnie on her beautiful dress and thanked Donald for making such a great breakfast. With the Little Einsteins we told Leo how much we liked watching him fly Rocket on the TV show.

If you see Donald, tell him you think he's number 1 (instead of Mickey) he'll get a real kick out of that!

Also, if you see Pluto, scratch him behind his ear and he will jiggle his leg!
