best way to WL from MK for meal midday?

We will be in MK and need to get to wispering canyon for noon ressie. Is is possible (or even best) to take the resort mono to contemp. and walk next door to WL?

Last year we took the WL bus from MK it took only about 5 mins to get there. We have also taken the boat but that took about 15-20 mins.

Just to answer part of your question (the other part is answered - boat or bus), you can't walk to the WL from the Contemporary. The WL is by itself - you could only walk to Ft. Wilderness from WL.

WL isn't exact "next door" to the Contemporary, so there's no walking. Bus or boat. I like the boat much better than the bus.

If the boat is there we rather take the boat. It was a relaxing 10 min trip.

I would take the bus. The WL and Fort Wilderness share the MK boat route. Sometimes the boat goes to the WL first, sometimes to FW first. In either case it will take you longer by boat than by bus.

The boat is a home run. We took it probably 10 times and never once did it stop at FW first. I believe there is the "red flag" which goes right to WL and the "blue flag" which goes to the Contemporary and FW. I can't speak to the bus one way or the other, but the boat is super fast and easy and is a fun ride.

The WL now has a boat to MK, that isn't shared with FW. This changed a couple of years ago. The actual boat ride is about 10 minutes.

Really? When we were there last December it still made both stops. Perhaps it was extra slow or an off time of day. In any case, it's good to know that they now have their own boat.

Yeah, look for the Red Flag and it goes direct.

The only problem I had with the boat transportation (the direct to MK) is that it only starts a half hour before the park opens. So if you have an early breakfast (CRT or whatever) you either need to bus it or take the boat to the Contemporary and hop the monorail. Other than that the boat was great, we never used the bus once. (For MK to WL trips)
