Best way to wait list a 10 day stay?

Hi All -

My first trip is coming up in 7 months... we go for 10 days, 9 nights... Should I:

Wait until I can waitlist the whole 10 day trip (~6 months, 27 days)

Waitlist a week at 7 months, then one day extra each day to have a 7, 1, 1 waitlist.

Thoughts? I am thinking the whole 10 days so I don't get stuck with 7 day trip, 1 day unmatched and another day booked

You can only have 2 active waitlists at a time, so the 7, 1, 1 won't work. I would wait until I can waitlist all 9 nights at once.

Book your home resort now. Then at seven months see what you can get. If you can't get anything (and a waitlist of nine nights might be very difficult to get on the waitlist), you at least have your home resort.

The longer the number of nights, the greater the chance that you will not find a match.
